Recommneded Wireless Mouse?

Featured Replies

Looking to go with a wireless mouse. Any suggestions? I did a search on the forums and found that some people like them and some dont but haven't seen much discussion in a while.

I'm thinking about the Logitech MX1000.

Thoughts?

I really like the MX1000. The battery lasts between 8-12 days, but I just put the mouse in the recharger when I am not using it, the battery never dies on me.

I reccomend a Razer Pro. its a corded mouse but it's 1600 Dpi and can be found for around $35. the MX 1000 is ok but with the $65-80 pricetag you better be sure you want to spend that much to go wireless. personally i think wired is better.

*EDIT* if you're lookin for a step up, go with the RAZER Copperhead Chaos RZ01-050300-R1M1 Black its a 2000 Dpi 7-button mouse with a 1ms response time. not too shabby for the $60 range.

Wireless caught up to wired a long time ago. Typically you are limited by the USB throughput rather than the RF transmission from the mouse itself.

I have a MX1000 and a new Intellimouse and they both work great for gaming. Try a few out at a store, as they both feel really different IMO. The MS mouse is quite hefty/large feeling and the Logitech is light/slick.

My wife uses the MS mouse because she doesn't like the feel of the MX1000.

EDIT: Unless you are a competition "big money" level gamer, I doubt you'd notice the difference between some of the really high end mice.

Hey I may be an old schooler but I really like the new mouse I have. It's a logitech MX518 it's wired but very pimp. :D

got an MX1000.

its slightly more responsive than the iltelli mouse...

the BIGGEST advantage to the MX1000, is the cradel that charges the mouse... meaning that you will never (unless you forget to charge) goto turn around and have the batteries die on you... i use it with the G15 and i have pretty much all my weapon controls on the mouse itself.... awsome profiling of buttons, ability to bind custom keyboard keys to the mouse buttons + lots more.

i recomend the logitech G5 but a good wirless mouse is the logitech G7 that goes to 2000 dpi.

I have the same mouse too :D . I actually bought a logitech G5 I think it was with bluetooth and I didnt like it, It was too delayed for me so I took it back and got the wired mx518 and its an awesome mouse :D
i use the logitech MX 1000 it is a good long lasting mouse. it is great if you always have many widows open. it also goes to sleep after a little wile and is awolin be moving it, this helps to save power.
I personally would stick with corded. Wireless mice tend to be heavy, and there's always the chance it'll lag out. I've always had better use of a corded mouse than wireless. The MX series, in any case, is what I would recommend. MX1000 has good reviews, and the MX510/518 is what I use and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it.
I love the 510 b/c of the buttons on each side. That works best for FPS.

I completely agree :D Phrogg owns the MX518 and swears by the setpoint drivers you can get from Logitech. It makes the two buttons on the top and bottom of the scroll wheel allow you to set your sensitivity in game; I.E. being able to switch from normal sensitivity to lower for scoped sniping or higher for flying a chopper.

I also own a Logitech MX518 and absolutely love it mainly for the on-the-fly sensitivity change. Its a huge advantage for using tanks and jets in BF2. I also love the two side buttons. I've got everything mapped pretty well on mine.

G7 battery runs out quickly and when playing games theres no indication that the battery died untill you either crashed your vehicles or died. :D then you'll start screaming at your mouse like "this bleepin bleep piece of bleep" and so forth. :D

that quick change battery is only quick if your playing chess online. :D

it also lags out alot.

I don't recommend the Logitech G7 for playing intense online games.

so looks like the majority is MX1000 or MX518. I already have the MX518 but would like to go wireless to clean up some desk space.

Think I'm going to give the MX1000 a shot and see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback. :D

Good choice..

i have never had a problem with it lagging out in a game or loosing connection.. the battery indicator is a godsend too,
