I'd like to know why the name that EA said was reserved for me is already in use. Any ideas.

My LogIn name is K0L0NELKLINK but when I go to make a new soldier it tells me I can't use that name. Nice goin.

So anyway I am Klink in game now withouth the kolonel.

Same happened to me.

 

MacAttack is taken yet it is the name I chose.

Another thing.......what is the name of that free assault upgrade rifle I got form FutureShop/BestBuy? My gun seems to have the same name as everyone else and I get no option to choose another when I set up my player. Maybe everyone else has the gun too. SHeeesh.

I had the veteran problem as well. I also didn't recieve my free unlock and dogtag from preordering because they ran out before I could get mine. I really don't care anymore...didn't take me very long to get where I should have been anyways lol.

Not to bash it anymore but it feels unfinished.

 

It actually makes me appreciate BF2 more.

I got mine, I logged in with my EA name (which is different than my in game name but is the same one I used in the beta/demo) and after that my "soldier name" showed up in the list... After selecting that it said I get a free promotion because of my BF2 veteran status.

You and me both, All I had to do is log into my ea account and my reserved name was already listed, I didnt have to create another soilder, then a pop up said I was a veteran and I got my unlock, then another pop up said I got the scar 11. I wonder if this is an issue with the EA downloader? Maybe the people who d/l it are having problems with the veteran thingie. To anyone who downloaded it post here if the veteran status worked or not.

then it must not be the downloader then....well it was worth a shot because I know the majority of us downloaded it and it seems alot of people didnt get their reserved name. Just another EA screw up.

I preordered my copy of BF2142 from Gamestop and I was able to keep ShadowWolf78 (veterans program). No problems on my end.

I was able to get my name that I reserved to with the veterans program. TigerHawk17. I logged on with my EA account and sure enough in the list was TigerHawk17. And I got an unlock and rank promotion

 

 

Maybe Klink you logged in with the wrong EA account I remember you said you have two EA accounts?

I have seen that many name like Arnie... have been reserved, but no one has even played.. i hate that.. I play with TACsArnie. Next week i will get the game and hopefully the name works..

I got both my unlocks and promotions....one from veteran and one from p

works fine for me. i got my origonal name via the vet program "White-Nine". also i got my vet rank-up, and my pre-order rank-up. all i did was log in to my ea account.

I logged into my new account from vertrans but there were NO solderies at all..... PS: I had a gameshop cd and without the patch.
