November 10, 200619 yr Basing it off your CPU and RAM, I'd say yes. I don't know alot about Geforce cards, but I have a 512 Meg ATI X1300 and I run fine. You have the same RAM and a faster processer than I. I run the game at 1024X768X32 with all Textures at High and effects at Low. I used to have my effects at medium, but in largescale firefights in chokepoints of Camp Gibralter were getting me a slight frame drop... Artillery and EMP strikes at said locations were slowing my framerate to nearly a crawl. So I turned the effects down to low and have noticed some improvement. But at anyrate, I'd say your system is fine, and you'll have the freedom to turn some of the nicer parts of the game up.

November 11, 200619 yr Look at my PC stats to the right of this post and you will see that I am running it all on LOW with that old pc so ya you're good to go.
November 11, 200619 yr the 7900GTX does get better performance, however it also costs 200 dollars more. If you are going to get a 7900GTX just get a 8800GTS because they are the same price
November 11, 200619 yr That's a good setup. I would also get a good sound card. I'm still running 6800 AGP, and I'm running fine.

November 12, 200619 yr get a better PSU, NZXT is (imo) garbage. instead of the G15 keyboard, try the zboard MERC. 4 gaming its great! http://www.guru3d.com/article/gamedevice/358/ with the mobo go for the new nvidia 590 chipset not the old 570 http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2786 instead of (2) 80 gb hdd's go for (1) 160 gb WD raptor 10,000 rpm hdd look for a better cooling pc case, oolermaster Mystique 632 tends to overheat components. http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2006/08/11/coolermaster_mystique_632/1.html
November 12, 200619 yr not always hypothetically speaking.....a bear will go where ever it wants, just more often than not you find them in the woods
November 13, 200619 yr Seriously if you spend 3000$ for such a computer to JUST play BF2142 and not the most demanding games out there, you're an absolute moron and NUB! S*** I could build two GOOD computers to easily play BF2142 for that much money and probably three mid-range computers! I dont want this just for 2142 but for all the new games that are coming out.

November 13, 200619 yr Author I know I should wait but I am tired of it and I play on a 2 year old IBM T42p that my wife uses all the time for class and I talked her into me getting a new pc so I could work at home more LoL. It has a 128meg ati card with a gig of ram and a 1.8 pent 4 it ok but my resolutions on bf2 and 2142 aren't so great. My budget was 2000 and I came in just under that I know my video card isn't the greatest but I can upgrade it in the future.
November 13, 200619 yr Author Can I transfer bf2,sf,armfury and 2142 to my new pc I got 2142,sf,armfury from ea downloader or do I have to buy all new stuff. I'm not going to use the laptop any more for gaming I will probably just give it to my wife. She seems to have laid claim to it anyway. Oh I just love those 800 dollar dell core 2 duo commercials after I spent 2k every time they come on I need a blackboard to explain why I spent so much money.
November 13, 200619 yr Author ok cool thanks can i just take my bf2 disks and load it on my new pc without a bunch of problems and use my ouchdog game name
