This, my friends, is what we need to remember.

Here is a tough, but heartwarming story and a picture of John

Gebhardt in Iraq.

John's wife, Mindy, related that this little girl's entire family

was executed. The insurgents intended to execute her also and shot

her in the head but they failed to kill her. She was cared for by

John's hospital and is healing up, but has been crying and moaning.

The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so

John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both

sleep in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

*He is a real Star of the war and is representative of what America is trying to do.

thats a beautiful thing.........at least there are some who still know what humanity is.....great one cleatus
wow, that is something ,hats off too that guy.I'm glad that pictures like that can be seen from time to time to remind us who we are.
In between all the godless (ironic isnt it), horrific things that are happening over there, it is nice to see a story of hope. Shame these stories don't make it into the news.
A sad story, but at least we know we are doing some good also. I will pray that the girl recovers. Hats off to this man for showing compassion to the girl. :D

He, like most all of our brave men and women over there, are all true hero's! This is one of many of this type of story that happens over there, we just don't get to see it because it's not news worthy! I have a couple of young relatives fighting over there, or did fight over there that can tell you similar stories. All of our men and women over there are heros' and most you will find are as compasionate about their fellow human beings as this gentlemen is. God bless them all!

It's sad to see people killing each other over a minor differences in their beliefs. They're even killing each other's children for crying out loud. A salute to Chief Master Sergeant John Gebhardt. salute.gif

dang...that guy is really tough to go through all that

i feel for him though.

that girl is lucky to have him while she is healing.

now...does should he get some sort of a metal for caring like that...hell ya he should.

amen to that
