where at in microsoft

I forgot, they closed it after 100,000 downloads. If you still have a registration key from one of the previous builds you can look for rc2 on bit torrent.

Don't use it till they come out with Service pack 1.

Gaming sux atm.

It could be a good operating system but remember how long it took XP to be "Stable and Reputable" like it is now.

I'm with a couple of you on this. I'm gonna get Vista, but I'm going to wait a few updates for them to close whatever gaping security holes they left and for the driver support to stabilise before I sink my money into it.

I know I have had a lot of driver availabiltiy problems as well. It runs smooth otherwise. In the end, its going to be a resource hog. I don't think microsoft honestly is too worried about the memory usage. I didn't see a lot good reasons to upgrade though. It looks nice, has a couple of new kid games, and a new look for the media stuff. But there doesn't seem to be a good functional upgrade. Maybe I'm missing something.

It has a bunch of security upgrades that you wont see, they run in the background. If you have it installed still try out the "windows live onecare" that you can use during the beta phase for free. And you'll see more activity in the security areas...
