Drifting..

Let me start off by saying that I am a fan, beyond expression, of ambient/electronic, IDM, and any manner of relaxing music that is pleasing to the ear. Often, I spend whole days just reading a book or lying in bed with such music playing or I'll walk down a city street with said music playin' in my little headset to chill me out and make me focus on little things, the wave of grass in the wind, the passing of clouds overhead.

So, all this appreciation in mind, when I stumbled upon this fellow, Andy McKee, I was absolutely fascinated. His music is a wonderfully chillax, uptempo (but awkwardly downbeat), catchy and soothing blend of an acoustic guitar's chords and a trippy "here and there" sound created by moving all over the fretboard.

My explanations do no justice, however; this music is incredibly difficult to describe -- so without having me babble any further, here is Andy McKee, live, performing his original song, Drifting.

Secondly, here he is again on a harp guitar performing Into the Ocean.

Even if you don't care for this music, I'm sure you all can appreciate this fellow's talent.

That's cool. I like oriental music to relax with. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon soundtrack and surprisingly enough Kung Fu the Legend Continues Soundtrack LOL.

Good stuff.

For relaxing, I'm a fan of Alexi Murdoch

This fellow is fantastic, but I wholeheartedly prefer songs without lyrics because the song is then open to interpretation.
