February 8, 200719 yr I thought titan drops are when you use the pod to jump out of the titan. But on my BFHQ stats, it only lists 7 titan drops when I've probably use the pods 50 times.... So what is a titan drop? Thanks!

February 8, 200719 yr It also applies only to certain elevations. If your too high or too low above the Titan, it won't count as a drop. You know it counts as a drop when someone pods out onto the Titan and you get a "Driver Ability" point.

February 8, 200719 yr Actually, we were talking about this the other night in Vent. To get a "titan drop", you need to fly the transport over the enemy titan and anyone that "pods" out of your transport has to land on one of the two "honeycomb" textured platforms in the back. If they do, then you get a titan drop point. If they land anywhere else, be it on the very top, or on top of a crate, or even through the vent holes themselves, you won't get credit. Oh, and you also need to be flying below 300 feet to get credit. High-altitude drops don't count. This is probably the hardest pin you'll ever try to get (and the ribbon/badge that goes with it).

February 8, 200719 yr We'll get it for you. I need my Titan Attack Gold. First thing to do is drop me on top of the titan and get an ammo crate. I shoot the turrets down with 3 shots from the Pylum. Once the turret is knocked down you should be good to go. Whats really really hard about the Titan drop is the non-hovering ability of the transports. So keeping yourself over the right spot and hovering at the same time is hard. I had to make passes myself. In a transport if you press down you loose altitude. In a fighter if you press down, you go down a sec, but the engines kick you into hover mode which is easy.

Further excellent advice.....I'm actually very good about staying in one spot with the transport....let's work on these badges tonight. I need more play time in titan to get my explosive gold, attack gold, and defend gold badges!
February 8, 200719 yr Darxan and I need to log some additional titan time tonight. I had to go join another titan server last night because ours was empty. I'd much prefer playing on our own servers, they're much nicer. The titan drop pin is the only pin I don't have yet. I've gotten all the others many times already. Hehe.
