yeah to upgrade to vista home or home premium, you need windows XP home... if you got pro, i think its business, or ultimate,

remember if you upgrade to vista your xp license key becomes invalid after the upgrade, so you cannot switch back to xp.

Your kidding right???? That would really piss me off. Because then you have to call Microsoft and activate XP again if you dont like Vista. :( Why do they do these stupid things??? Monopoly!

Yes, thats what they're trying. I wish someone could make a comparable OS that companies could easily and willingly like to make software for... I mean it'd be cool if popular softwares could be made easily for Linux or the like. its just no ones they're yet...

And it really sucks, cause I was so looking forward to getting Halo 2 for pc when it come out at the end of March but now I'm not because to play, it requires Vista and I don't want to get vista cause nothing works right. Or I could get a labtop that has vista already and use it to play Halo 2 but I don't think it's really worth it. :(
