Need new PCI-e video card

Featured Replies

hey guys. been reading the hardware threads and you're all much more knowledgable than i so i thought i'd ask.

i have a dell core 2 duo system and need a better video card than the thing it came with. i don't mind spending several hundred bucks as long as the thing kicks ass. (funny how we spend all this money on hardware to play a $50 game). all i really use my computer for is email, websurfing, and video games, at the moment bf2142. i have to play on the lowest video settings sadly. i have one of the dell widescreen 20 or 21" monitors. i'm not sitting in front of it right now so i can't tell you which model.

looking for a pci-e card. any suggestions!

thanks !!!

well obviously you need a geforce 8800 gtx 786mb

they only run $550 to $650 depending on brand. most bad a$$ card to date. you could get an 8800 gts 320mb for right around $300 though. if thats still a bit much, the geforce 7900 gt runs in the $200 range. cheaper still, you could get a recertified 7800 gt for less than $150.

i love my 7800 gt, btw :(
