How exactly does that final squad leader unlock (the one that allows people to respawn faster) work?

i have not seen it work . if any squad leader i have been with has it i have not seen it work

it functions the same way as the normal beacon....... it just decreases the spawn time and is a tad more accurate.... so that you dont go flying outta bounds on gibralter and such.

My SL had it last night. It felt like I was spawning faster. The countdown started at 12secs.

haven't used it yet but the fast respawn could work against you on conquest if you have a bunch of medics around and there's less time for them to revive you. i just unlocked it so i'm gonna give it a shot.

Its an upgrade to your current beacon. Place your beacon on the ground and and your spawn time goes from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.

 

Now, I'm not sure, but I think you only get the bonus time if the SL is alive. The reason I say this is I've been in squads with the 10 second spawn, I go to pod down on the beacon and then all of a sudden, I have to wait another 3 seconds. It may be only active when the SL is alive.

while the SL is alive the spawn time is ~10-11 seconds (spawn on SL or pod). As for SL being alive, I do not think it matters.

I'm pretty sure that if you keep your respawn map open then you won't respawn until you click done or enter.

So do you have to equip this or just use a normal beacon? I have this upgrade and haven't seen my men spawning faster....but then again, I might not have noticed since I was looking at MY spawn time, not theirs.

 

I don't know why EA won't just give us a clear answer on what it means.

well I have sat there dead for a while before after the respawn timer ended by leaving the window open and still had my kit when I spawned. I don't know what you people are doing

One of the worst things IMO is not enough time to choose your setup after dieing. You just get choosing and 1 second later it bounces you back to the other screen leaving you 10 seconds to load out. Sucks.

You just equip your beacon from what I've seen. I didn't notice a faster respawn for myself either. Maybe it only works for squad members.
