March 17, 200719 yr Alright, I get home and was going to boot 2142 up. I wanted to play 1280x1024, so I copy and pasted the text in there to play at that in game. Well then it didn't want to boot up and I didn't know what it was at in the first place. So I decide to uninstall/reinstall. Now it still won't boot up. Before and after the damn patch. I have no idea what to do here. Any ideas!?!!? I put in a different game and it loads that up fine, so I figure the drive is fine. When I try to load up 2142, the screen the mech comes up. Nothing happens after that though. The program just stops.....
March 17, 200719 yr Author This is a little retarded..... I cut and pasted the profiles folder to my desktop and wahlah it starts up......weird..... Maybe there was a video issue or something I don't know, but it is working again!
March 17, 200719 yr After you changed the values for the screen resolution in the link to the game, did you make sure to reset it back to the default? Perhaps if you entered something wrong it might cause problems, but if you reinstalled it should have replaced the link right? Did you try launching directly from the executable in battlefield's folder? Edit: Nevermind, heh.
March 17, 200719 yr If you did something wrong in the first place you might have corrupted the registry key, dont matter if you reinstall it will still follow the old registry entry. So try a clean uninstall and remove the registry key via "regedit", this should make your sys have a fresh start for bf. Give it a try
March 17, 200719 yr i was gonna say that maybe you needed to let it load a bit longer,i'm pretty sure i've had those sort of issues at one time as well. But it's working so good deal
