ya i had to take the new SAT and god was that thing long

i hated it

the one before was much better

especially writing that section in cursive

i hadnt written in cursive since the 2nd grade

the SAT was much less mind numbing than the ACT. The SAT gives you lots of little breaks, the ACT just dumps it all on you with 1 break in the middle.

Both were not fun.

yeah i did like how it was only in 25 minute sections, that was a little relieving.

and i'm with you KFA, it took me literally 5 minutes to write one cursive sentence.

i took both and tha ACT was way shorter and i thought easier

SneakyArab when did you take the SAT because they changed the year before last

now it takes 4 1/2 to 5 hrs

at the end i really didnt care how i did i just wanted to leave

which explains why i did better on the ACT

I took it after it changed. They both took about the same amount of time when I took them. The last time I took the ACT the band at the school I was at decided to practice right outside the window when I was about halfway through the reading section. Not cool.

id be mad also i cant pay attention when reading when theres a lot of noise. but id probley be in the band and not be taking the act till another time lol

the old sat only takes about 3 hours (without breaks)

the new one takes closer to 4 (without breaks

while the ACT is about 3 hours

ill take the ACT any day over the new SAT

I'm so glad I got done with that before they changed up the test. Seriously, though, it seemed like such a big deal while going through the SATs, but afterword, not a single person cares about your score.

Hope you did alright Boja.

Ya probley. Good luck with the SAT.

This reminds me of my problem, my application to my local college is on hold right now till i take the ACT arrrrrrrrg, thanks for making me dread it even more!

Oh yeah I was pissed. They played all the way through the science reasoning part too. It was hard enough to read those crappy articles and to compare 800 different graphs. I didn't need a band playing right outside to compound things.

Take it 3 times is what they recommend.

It's the rest of your life so you might as well take a shot at a better score.

:D
