Ok so BF2142 is my first FPS. In fact its really the first pc game I've ever played on a regular basis besides Descent about a million years ago. Other than Battlefield 2, what games do u guys/gals suggest I try? I'm not really into the whole surreal thing with dragons and pixies and **** tho. RPGs are also out.

You have to get Half life 2

there's lots of mods

plus the single player game is great

 

this should be the next FPS you pick up

FEAR seems to be a great game(only tried the demo).

R6:Vegas has a pretty good single player side(as long as you have a good PC) but the multiplayer sucks.

STALKER, and interesting mix between FPS and RPG...not my cup of tee.

the possibilities with the game are endless due to the wide support of the mod community

 

first of the game is simply amazing

 

CS:S is a huge huge multiplayer game

 

Firarms source should be coming out soon

 

plus lots of other interesting things like garys mod allows you to build machines or vehicles or forts

 

i think with hl2 youll have a much wider array of games (that are all free) that you can play

EDIT: Forgot to say this, copyc4t make sure you get Company of Heroes, one of the best rts games I've ever played.
