the truth is that i miss playing Northern Strike as lately there are less and less servers where i can play that, and my high ping does not help either.

I noticed that we did not have it up in a while now, (i think the reason is that it caused lag) so i thought maybe i bring it up as a suggestion, maybe i am not the only one. I mean one day here and there.

I certaintly have not missed it, city and titan is where it's at. The fact that there are less and less servers should hopefully tell EA a few things about making booster packs in the future. Both city and titan are usually always full, todays a weird day because EA is having problems with there servers.

yea i like the city server a lot more than i would like that NS server

i like NS actually its real fun running around the "assault lines" maps with those little speeders... its a little selfish and unfair to dismiss an official game for everyone else, sharp, because you personally dont like it..

How am I "officially dismissing it"? I'm certaintly giving my opinion which is the point of this thread:rolleyes: And if you haven't noticed, both city and titan servers are more popular than the NS one ever was. But I'm not sure if you were there when we had that or not.

i was... and have been for a while.. just felt like you were dismissing it in your post is all.

I gotta say I agree with DanBaron. I still need quite a few of the unlocks. Port Bavaria is pretty fun. It would be nice to have it up for a day or two every now and then.

yea thats like the only thing i like about NS is the "wicked" fast speeders you can use to splatter players across the ground, or building

if you get into it.. its just as fun as normal.. you get a good squad it eats the goliath alive, people suicide run at the thing, whine cause they get killed without taking a second to consider how to actually kill it effectivly.. i have seen one go from full HPs to nothing in about 5 meters..

 

 

its really good fun to do that alot...

If EA was smart they would release the NS maps for for use in all game modes, and for those that payed for NS, give them the next booster(assuming there will be one) for free. I say this because the 3 maps are great maps, bridge of Rem makes for a good titan map, port of Briv. does have moments of some good CQC plus some good sniping spots(also good titan map) and the 3rd map(can't remember the name) is a nice big map conquest map, with a lot of vehicles available. This would also allow servers such as our city server to increase the map rotation possibly making an aready popular server even more so.

I loved the Assault Line game mode. I wish they would do that to the regular assault maps. I hate with the normal assault that one recon with camo can back cap so easily if people aren't paying attention. Either you have to baby sit the back flags (which is way boring) or risk losing your six to someone who manage to slip by your main force.

 

Plus, I love speeders. Nuff said on that one.

 

Siege of Leipzig is an awesome map. I love the close quarters fighting on it. And there's no bottlenecking like with the Berlin map which makes me happy.

 

And finally... I still have yet to get the Assault Lines pin for my award collection... :warning:

Well i am glad i am not the only one missing it

I play NS every night on my favorite NS server- WARZONE, they play all 3 maps in AL, and play PB and BaR in titan mode too. I love sniping on Leipzig when on the PAC you can get camouflaged really well in the snow.

merlincats funhouse #1 northern strike server is fun,fact is,is that it has a TON of rules but if you know them,follow them or risk being kicked.

I also love speeders,especially the second seat on them.

I just got NS last night. I actually enjoy the new game mode. It's nice to play something different every once in a while and the new maps are fun to play on. I didn't know Armory had an NS server, but it might be fun to bring back every once in a while. Maybe have a clan day or something...I dunno.

NS is ten bucks...get it for the unlocks.

 

You can still play conquest and titan in NS maps so whats the big deal.

 

NS has some sweeeeet new stuff. Like the goliath and/or killersnowmobilething

This has been tried, but it would even kick those that had NS...I never had a problem but a couple of Armory folks did so I agree with the decision to get rid of it. I like the idea of a "clan night" or even a couple days a week on random occasions. But I would'nt be upset if it never happens, because al lot of the guys I enjoy playing with don't have NS.

Eh, depends on if he has an extra $10 laying around. Getting the new weapons as permanent unlocks is nice. And the new maps are fun to play if you can find a server to play on.

rIGHT, FORGOT ABOUT THE UNLOCKS. Oops caps. I like them too I guess that part was worth it.

Maybe it is the times I play but I have never noticed the titan server more then half full. I agree with Danbaron, I enjoy the NS maps however I did not realize that a server had to be dedicated for NS. Who was the stupid person who thought that up.......oh yeah the same person who made helos in BF2 impossible to shoot down.
