thats just the ones around here!

Mine came from my old CS days. I used to like to knife and generally sneak around.

Someone on the server knew that I was Lebanese and said, man, you sneaky arab!

Thusly the name was born because I am, well, sneaky and arab.

I used Gambricon back when I was mudding a long time ago - when those old school modems could only handle text and color text was considered pretty fancy. I used some other names when I was using tintin++ or some other client to play multiple characters - beep, bonk, smorfus. I can't remember the others....

I've used anibis since BF1942. In Egyptian Mythology Anibis was the conductor of souls, I figured it was fitting since I'm usually a medic and I liked the name, and most important 95% of the time I can get "anibis" so I feel unique in the internet world.

I do have anibis for BF2 but I changed my email and EA wouldn't let me use it for 2142 w/out email confirmation.

I used to be staticx but the band ruined that for me, I had that name in my BBS days (1993ish), 2400 baud baby!

unless of course theres two of them, which is entirely alright. but i've never heard of anibis

Anyone who has played Rainbow Six or reads the books knows where i got mine from. But for those who don't know its character both in the book and the game Rainbow Six. Those who have not played the games or read the book i suggest that u do:D
Darxan..Just because..well..I don't know just kinda had a dream that I can't remember but I remembered the name and kept it ever since. Besides, how many Darxan's do you know out there..Including me that should be only 1. Never seen anyone else with the name.

I was just gonna mention that but..................

i'd been using random names for years. such as garden_friendly, taco, death hawk, FIREMAN/POLICEMAN (joke with a buddy of mine while playing firearms), and more recently spriteisawsome (yes awesome is spelled wrong, everyone who joins a bnet game with me has to let me know that).

i would have kept taco, but it was taken on a site i was registering for. so i went looking for a name, and just so happened was harry potter sitting on my computer desk. i cracked it open, and the first word that stood out was undertone. typed it in... and yeah, been using it ever since.

" Anibis- the Greek version of Anpu, was identified with Hermes, conductor of souls. In pyramid texts Anibis is the fourth son of Ra. Anibis invented funeral rites and bound up the mummy of Osiris to preserve him from contact with the air and subsequent corruption. He was known, therefore, as "Lord of the Mummy Wrappings." "

well, that site also doesnt mention Anubis, which we're positive exists. So theres a chance that theyre just spelling it wrong. Who knows though, i sure as hell dont.
My first nickname when i start to work in casino operations it was " TO BE" and then this one written in romanian language it looks like "tuby" and 333 because back in BF2 "tuby" it was taken.

The website spelled it wrong.

It's really "Anubis"

Maybe anibis is how it is spelled in English? I saw multiple sites with the spelling anibis and just as many with anubis. The P in my last name was a B in Italy, they changed it when my grandparents moved to America so people would know how to pronounce, might be the same kinda deal.

In Greek does U sound like I in English?

Either way it's unique, better than bourne0239440935843985439058439058

Maybe we're all Bourne? This is just our training.

Does your mom say you're cute as well freefall?

Are you sure it's not short for "Canibis"????????????????

(I know the correct spelling is with 2 "n"'s; for all of you who are wanting to rip me apart for bad spelling)

Mine is just UZI backwards had the nick since i was a kid because i was in competition shooting (theu ROTC) in grade school/jr high/highschool - everything from .22 to .50 cal.
