My friend showed me this sweet little thing that basically puts LAN over the internet. This could be used if the master servers were down and decided to play on LAN. I also noticed when I used it it was faster with my friend than if we chose the normal way. Its especially really handy if you have a bad internet connection. Its mainly for games that don't use a lot of players, like rts games. BUT its not ONLY just for games. Its an entire LAN of people all across the world. I use this a lot to play with my friends in Australia because I don't connect to their servers very well, vice versa. Also great for downloading from just one person on the network

Sounds sweet I'll have to try it out sometime! Sounds like it will be very useful.
I used to have Hamachi set up with some friends around the world. We had our iTunes shared, as well as some specific folders we knew the others would enjoy.

Married, moved, new job. Old computer, no new games, can't run the good stuff, still playing CS:S at 5fps.

But that's for another thread! No hijacking!

Hamachi is nice, but I stopped using it a few months ago because sometimes firewalls (not mine, but whomever I'm connecting to) get really REALLY touchy with it. Even though everything was correct, it wouldn't let the guy connect to me. =/
