September 4, 200718 yr at the head of the pilot, you cant kill the helicopter and make it blow up but you can kill anyone threw glass with the .50.

September 4, 200718 yr The 50 cal does do some damage to choppers, but it would take several magazines to completely destroy it. The best option would be the shoot the head of the pilot, the pilot sits in the rear seat.

September 4, 200718 yr You can get lucky and blow one up that is damaged badly, but aim for the pilot like they said if you want to really take one out.

September 4, 200718 yr Author Thanks! Not being a flyer I did not realise the pilot was in the second seat. So you have to actually hit the pilot to kill him. I watched that sniping video and thought he was just shooting the helo to kill the pilot. Live and learn.....

September 4, 200718 yr It takes 5-7 shots witht the .50 to down an attack chopper aim for the pilot's head. There is also a rumored hitbox that allows a one shot kill near the rotor blades. I saw it once on youtube maybe i could find it.

Why not give us shoulder mounted antiaircraft weapons to use in BF2?

September 5, 200718 yr Pfft...all of you noobs taking out helos with .50 cals. I've taken one out with my pistol! Don't mind the fact that I was just randomly shooting at one as it was about to die lol.

I read here or somewhere that if you are the last to damage something before it crashes or blows up, you get credit for the kill(s).
