September 19, 200718 yr We just upgraded our phone plan so that we have MyFaves (which is the whole deal where I get to talk to 5 people for free) The problem is that my phone and my Dad's phone do not support this. So I need to get a new T-Mobile phone, but I have no idea what to look for really. I don't need anything REALLY fancy, I just don't know what phones are good now and where I should buy them from. If anyone has some info, let me know please!
September 19, 200718 yr i have an old samsung from t-mobile however i do not know if it will support the "5 faves" thingy
September 20, 200718 yr Author I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good one, not asking for donations I am probably just going to go to Target and get one though. As long as it has a few fun games then I am set (gotta have SOMETHING to do in class!!)
September 20, 200718 yr Well, I just got a Sony Ericsson Z310 (which is supposedly new to the market?). It's currently charging up. What I will tell you already, without even being able to fiddle around with anything, is that it's very compact and has killer keypad illumination alongside an epic external display. Anything more than that I'll have to tell you tomorrow, when it's charged up. PS/EDIT: I use AT&T. I don't know if that matters. ;] EDIT2: Confirmed as a Z310a.
September 20, 200718 yr Author yeah it matters, I would have to go through a bunch of crap to get that phone useable with T-mobile.
September 20, 200718 yr Aww. Okay. I won't bother to give a review then. ^^ Good luck finding a phone, though!
September 20, 200718 yr hmmmmm, I am with Verizon and love my LG phone... I have no clue about support for 5 favs... good luck, sneaky...
September 20, 200718 yr Author OK above all does anyone know of a good website to buy phones from? I want to buy one without signing up for a new plan or any other contract. I just need a t-mobile enabled phone. Of course I can buy one directly from T-mobile, but I am always skeptical about their prices.
September 20, 200718 yr Also, you may know this but...I am pretty sure an unlocked phone won't work for my favs, regaurdless I wouldn't recommend an unlocked phone. I haven't used an actual T Mobile phone for awhile so I can't be of much help. You could always go with the Trusty RAZR.
September 20, 200718 yr I got a good deal here a while back, but i needed to upgrade my service, you can look around at the phones. http://www.letstalk.com/
September 20, 200718 yr Author Yeah unlocked phones aren't going to be any good I don't think. I just called the T-Mobile people and it turns out that I can still use the Faves thing I just won't be able to see who they are on my phone. So I may not be getting a new phone after all. Oh and about the RAZR: I have 2 friends who have had RAZRS. 1 of them got one and it messed up after a few months for no good reason. Then he got another one that got a tiny bit wet (in his pocket during rain) and it completely fried. My phone was in my pocket in that rain too and all that happened was that the sound was really low for about an hour and now it works fine. The other friend got on brand new, out of the box. It randomly presses buttons. The camera will randomly turn on when he is not even touching the phone and it takes pictures occasionally. I have actually seen it, just sitting on a counter, switch to the camera setting by itself. So I stay away from RAZRs
September 20, 200718 yr RIZR, $79.00 before rebate for a 2 year extension, I think it's $40 or $50 after rebate. I personally don't really like flip phones, so I always have a limited choice, the RIZR is probably top on my list or the t509?(i think thats it). For context purposes I currently have a SLVR L7, which is great except I can't seem to get the thing to run stable and its unlocked.
September 20, 200718 yr I strongly recommend you WAIT until the Holiday season starts that when the new phone releases and promotions come out
