Posted September 23, 200718 yr QuakeWars and The Orange Box will be coming out early next month. I preordered my quakewars but my bro wants it. Wondering if i should keep my quakewars or try for orange box. Might end up getting both but that depends on howmany players from armory are on each.
September 23, 200718 yr I played the Quake Wars demo and it didn't do anything for me, it played a lot like Battlefield and didn't make me want to buy it. I already have Orange box pre-ordered, I will also be getting COD4.

TF2 is about ten times more engaging then quake wars and you also get portal and episode 2 for the same price as one quake wars. Anyway, I don't think QW will last long after COD4 is released a few weeks later.
September 23, 200718 yr yeah, i'm very confused here. i think COD4 is a definite buy for me since we'll have a server for that. after that, i'm undecided.

September 23, 200718 yr I gotta go with the Orange Box. I've been using my buddy's steam account to play Half-Life 2 and other things for a while now. For $50 I can get HL2, Ep 1, Ep 2, Portal, and TF2. Now that's one heck of a deal considering I'm trying to save cash for other things as well. I'll also be getting CoD4 when that comes out, but I'm gonna have to pass on QW for now.

September 24, 200718 yr Author o man everyones going for orange box... i wish they just sold team fortress 2 for 20bucks or sumting. from what i've seen and heard, teamfortress 2 sounds like a lot of fun
September 24, 200718 yr I don't buy every game under the sun, I'm picky. I didn't get 2142 till March '07 so it's still fun for me. I played BF1942 on and off for 3 years and I will probably do the same with 2142. A new BF WW2 game with all the eye candy and features would be super fun, I miss the simplicity of it all. TF2 looks fun but seems like it would get boring, with Orange Box being released in around 20 days I'll save my money and keep playing BF. I can't wait for COD4.
September 24, 200718 yr Author i've played some of the call of duty and medal of honor games and i wasn't too hyped up about it...so i'm a bit skeptical about call of duty 4...looks great so far but i'll wait to see how it goes. and as much fun as team fortress was during the quake era...it's been quite used up already in half life, and fortress forever. i would've loved to try teamfortress 2 but paying 60cdn bucks for it (and half life 2 which ive already played) just doesnt seem as appealing. gawd i wish i was some rich doctor who worked half a month and gamed the other half
