October 3, 200718 yr I'm kind of neutral on this. I played the beta and liked it, but I'm kind of strapped for cash and want to buy other games before I get this one. Play the demo, decide from there.

October 3, 200718 yr Yes, definitely get Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Too bad, it doesn't have built in VOIP but get a few clan members into Vent and get on the same team, it's just ownage. It's more fast pace than BF2142.
October 3, 200718 yr its good fun man! got a little bit of a steep learning curve as u might get lost on the map....but once u figure it out, its pretty fun. that slip gate map is awesome!

October 3, 200718 yr For sure pick it up it is only $39.99 it is a great game. was playing last night with 5 clan members and we had lots of fun i am getting very bored with 2142. and need something new to play intill cod4
October 3, 200718 yr Yeah, it's not too bad - pretty different from BF2142. I'm new to the Quake series so I have a ways to go. I'm one of the guys running around without a clue. I just follow Shadowwolf around . It sucks going from near the top of the leaderboard in BF2142 to being the "newbie of the battle". :klinked:
October 3, 200718 yr Author When I first started 2142 I knew what I was doing from BF2 and BF1942. I couldn't get in any good squads because everyone thought I was a noob, it drove me nuts because I was a good player from day one. On my 2nd night playing one of the 82nd airborne guys kicked me out of his squad because I was a noob, I ended up beating him for my first gold star that round. Thats why I like the BF games, if you played one of em for a long time the others are easy to pick up. I'm sure I'd get good at ET because close combat is the best part of my game, most people stay far away when they see a target but I always try to close the gap if I have cover. I wish they would make a few BF levels with lots of people in a small space, I miss the old skool games that were like that. I love 2142 because of the squad play, for that reason I will keep playing as long as I have friends to play with, it will always be fun when the right people are on. I hope COD4 will be a team/squad game like BF, VOIP makes the game. I think walking around and killing people gets boring after awhile, I will buy ET or Halo but not both, once COD4 is released I'll probably be playing that most of the time, I'm just not sure I wanna waste $50 if I'm only gonna play for a month. If more people get ET I will play, it just seems like everyone is waiting for COD4.
October 4, 200718 yr I like it, its a refreshing change from 2142. Feels good to play it, but maybe thats because i am from the quake school :klinked: Like people have said before just a bit of a learning curve, and the game was definitely built from the ground up for cooperative multiplayer.
