This happened in 2142 once, and it is happening now in BF2. I cannot change the screen resolution. What's up with that? The option to change it is there but when I do it doesn't say Maximizing Shaders, and when I shut the game down and start it back up the resolution is the one that I changed it from. I'm perplexed. The solution in 2142 was reinstall, but seeing as BF2 And SF are a combined 5 or 6 disks I would rather not. Any ideas?

change your computer res. to the same you want to use in game

OK I read somewhere that you have to set computer settings to allow game to control settings

 

like you look through your detailed graphic settings and it should read something like allow game to control shaders ... or application controlled

 

then you reboot then reload game then change in game settings then re start game

And don't forget about your Graphic Card if the res. in there is low you can do whatever you whant and is still not working.cheers
