October 5, 200718 yr its 2in the morning. i usually go to sleep at 4. so i figured...uknow...i'll play a little bioshock to wear me out. that is the freaking worst idea ever! it is now 3am, and i am freaked out!!! i was in the dental block of the medical pavilion. There is this section where u had to jump through a window using a pillar as cover from this gunturret. I did the usual "shock and hack" then went through this doorway which had cold gas blocking it. I went through, my screen got fogged up, and when it cleared, i saw a splicer corpse sitting on the chair. At first i thought, whew, that was freaky, so i went to the dead body and whacked it a good few times with my wrench...uknow...justincase right? anyways i cleared the room and left. later i returned to the same room as i thought i might have missed something. I went through the same doorway and my screen got all fogged up again. Thing is, i was so sure that the room was clear. i was soo calm and secure. When the screen cleared up, i saw doc splicer RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FRIGGIN FACE SCREAMING!!!! i jumped out of my damn chair! good thing i had a pistol on hand. emptied a whole clip into his head! when he finally fell to the ground i was breathing so hard. after that i was walking in this room with alot of water then i saw this shadow of another doc splicer doing something. so i was sneaking up on it then the lights suddenly turned off. freaking pitch dark! first thing i did was look around to find the closest source of light and ran to it. after checking around for a good 10 seconds, i went in to check it out. saw nothing but the music kept on going! i saved the game and stopped because i couldn't take anymore!!! lol!
October 5, 200718 yr HAHA. Same thing with FEAR and especially games like Silent Hill, man. Silent Hill, by the way, is the best game ever -- 1-3 are amazing. 4 was creepy as long as you were in the apartment. Just watch some funny videos on Youtube or something and it'll take your mind off it. :klinked:
October 5, 200718 yr Author lol dude i played FEAR and it was freaky but it was just Alma popping up infront of u! all i had to do was get into a good slowmo fight to get my mind off it. voila! problem solved. in bioshock, every splicer is freaky! u hear voices in the hallways and your always watching around incase one of them appears behind u. lol i'll go look at some youtube
October 6, 200718 yr try playing doom 3 in a pitch black room at night at 12am of friday the 13th (Yeah i know best combination) Well Im playing im halfway through the game. I go through a door, shotgun in hand, when all of a sudden a demon comes barreling down the corner and at the same time my dog howls for some reason and he is in the same room as i am. Shotgun goes off and misses the demon by a mile i literally jumped a foot or two in the air out of my seat and scream sh** so loud the neighbors next door heard me. I try and regain my composer as i am being attacked by the demon and I am struggling to grab hold of my mouse and kill the damn thing. I fire again right between the legs a miss, fire again and clips his shoulder, and a third time and this time in the chest killing the damn thing. BUt wait the fun isnt over yet. Then the flying baby comes out of nowhere and right in my face (a double wammy). All you can see on my screen was a screaming deformed baby demon and i scream yet again firing off my shotgun but this time killing the damn thing with my first shot. So that was a very eventful night.
October 6, 200718 yr Yeah Bioshock is definitely been a nice investment. And I'm having the same problem with the game, start playing it and I was planning on going to sleep around 2am tonight and now I'm typing this at 4:30am right after just finishing up 5 hours of the game. And I completely agree with the eerie voices and splicers jumping out without warning has made me tense up quite a bit. Also I just reinstalled FEAR again and played that for a few hours the other night, and the same thing happened there those nicely placed/evil setups for the different things popping up made me jump just like the first time I played through the game. Can't wait till the TRUE sequel comes out hopefully it'll be just as fun. Now I think I'll sleep for a few hours before I get up and play more Bioshock, preferably in the sunlight, heh.

October 8, 200718 yr Watch 28 Weeks Later and then play Bioshock and try sleeping. It doesn't work that great...
