WSAENOTSOCK
What about on keyboard and mouse? lol I can't fly them
Sam.Gen.
Whoa...I just use my mouse and keyboard. I use "W" for positive throttle, "A" left rudder , "D" right rudder, "S" Negative throttle. Left click is primary fire, right click is secondary...that seems so much easier then my stupid cheap Joystick.
Me
mouse keyboard for heli, joystick for plane. I use mouse and keyboard for both due to lack of a good joystick. not use to get used to a J/S if yours blows.
StateCop
NS,I had the same problem as you and the same joystick. I had to make sure my joystick was setup correct. When you push your joystick left or right it should be bound to the roll left/roll right. The rudder should be on the twist of the stick. This is how you can swing the tail around. It took me about 1 week to get the hang of things. I still crash and burn a good bit but I am getting there. I dont know how anyone flies with a mouse and keyboard. I think sam does and he is a good pilot. Gator is also a great pilot. The only thing I have gotten down is standing my Hind Assault Helicopter on its nose while flying...the raining down terror from staight above! Now if I could just get that damn landing thing down...my flights are usually a one way trip.It is kinda my signature move.
Never_Surrender
he he thanks everyoneI am getting better, as you say keep practisingYe state, mine is a 1 way trip too LOL !!
Me
I dont know why people say its near impossible to fly it with the mouse.. i find it a hell of alot easier. *shrug* As for planes... joystick has the advantage since they can turn faster then a mouse. Ive rarely been able to out-turn a n m e fighter. It takes alot of mouse dragging i hate. But you will get better with time.
KingPin
hi i use mouse and keyboard for both, heli and plane... and guess what...i keep dying lol...KP
DeadRoach
Hmm, wonder if there's a way to use the wheel on your mouse to adjust throttle? At anyrate, only flying I do is in a FrogFoot or A10 on bombing runs... and that's using the keyboard for throttle and my pitch while the mouse handles my roll. Seems to work for me.As for Heli's... I'm fine until I try to turn.... then I inevitably get caught going around and round and round and round till I crash. Joystick for control surfaces and such...keyboard for weapon selection and the like.Sure hope Combat Helo gets down soon. I miss Jane's Longbow2. WSAENOTSOCK
They don't put a second spinny thing on their for your amusement I can land better than fly/turn, thats not good. Just start an instant battle and fly around. You should get the hang of it over a few hours. I did. "Oh... so thats what that button does.... *boom* " then it says " [TAC]> WSAENOTSOCK is no more"
Shotty
i tried the mouswheel with throttle, but it only goes up when you are turning it, as soon as you stop it goes back 0 throttle.i am assuming this is because it is not terminal, (it keeps on going round forever)
