  3. haha, I don't know much about ancaster except that it's close, so I'll take your word for it. I dunno how that system works, I do know a couple people who have gone the other way though. If you're interested in computer engineering, just remember that it's a common first year engineering program before you specialize.. for example, I only had one class that was computer-related (and I hated it.. lol. But that is me. I know lots of guys in computer and software eng and they enjoyed it.) Haha.. yep, I still love fishing. Although environmental engineering isn't stuff like GREENPEACE for example, but rather.. (from wikipedia) Environmental "civil" engineers focus on hydrology, water resources management and water treatment plant design. So I'm the guy that makes sure that you're tap water is safe to drink and that you have enough of it, not the guy telling you that the world is about to end because of global warming.
  4. Good to see that there's still so many familiar people here! Ripper, what are you thinking of taking? You live in Ancaster right? That's so close to Mac, I actually had to go there for an assignment this year. Obviously my opinion is a little biased, but Mac is such a great school, I absolutely love it here. What games does TA play now? Maybe over the break I could join in for some action.

Hi. So it's been a very long time since I posted here, but I was studying and The Armory came into my head for some reason so I decided to wander over to the site and say hello. It says the last time I was here was over a year ago, and that I joined in March 2003, and I just can't believe it's been so long since I started talking to you folks (and that was even before the big forum change or whatever that made us all get these new accounts, so really, its been longer than March 2003). I would have been 13 maybe 14 at that time... wow. So what is new? Anyone still here that I'd know? I'd be lying if I said that I don't miss gaming with you guys, but I can't really play games and school at the same time, so I decided that school would be a better choice (I'm at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for civil engineering with a specialization in water/environmental engineering). Anyways I'll keep checking this thread to see whats going on, and I'd love to hear from you guys. -Greg aka TheSock.
  6. Heh, yeah. I'm TheSock. Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I really appreciate it
  7. I'd like to take this time to retire from The Armory Clan. It's been such a long ride, and it is kind of saddening to go, but I have so much work to do for school that I just haven't had time to play any games or frequent these forums anymore. I can't remember when I joined... I think it was 2003. Being almost 2007, that's 4 years of being here. I've seen lots of people come and go, and a few stay for the long haul like me. Without further adu, I'd just like to thank Gator for keeping this place running so smoothly, and Macgyver, who was always open for a game or talk. I'll come in occasionally and update you guys on my status from time to time. Currently I'm trying to get my marks high enough to attend University to study Engineering, either Civil or Mechanical. Thanks for all the great times. -Greg Simon aka WSAENOTSOCK.
  8. Don't take this the wrong way, but grandmas + bathing suits = lose.
  9. What are you going for? More school?
  10. I got Who tickets, they are coming to a venue near me. http://www.johnlabattcentre.com/seatingmap-the-who.html I am in Section 104, about halfway up. I can't believe I got those tickets, I am going to be SO close to them, it is simply going to be AMAZING. I would have gotten floor seats, but they had already sold out on PRESALE. This thing is going to be packed.

This is what the actual FA team wants to dub as the successor to the original Firearms. They have the "amiable approval" from the FA leaders, and no forums were stolen to get this name! I am behind this version 150%.
  12. I could never stand the way Portugal decides to play their soccer, not in FIFA but also portugese teams that I have played against during Intermediate/Premier soccer. It's all the same, and it's really ugly. They dive, trip, and cheat their way.

Some of his stuff is alright, but some other times you just think "Why is he yelling at me? "
  14. What's it supposed to sound like? Someone squealing at the top of their lungs beep?
  15. ROFL, good one Klink. CBC is completely biased towards the Oilers, it isn't even funny. Watch tonight's game and say otherwise, I dare you.
  16. And you still believe it?
