Hayabusa
For BF1942: MINIMUM CONFIGURATION - 500 MHz CPU - 128 Megabytes of RAM - 3D accelerated 32 MB video card or equivalent with HTL and a 24-bit z-buffer - 160 MB free hard disk space plus space for saved games - 16X Speed CD-ROM/DVD-ROM - DirectX 8 Compatible Sound Card - MS compatible mouse - Keyboard Recommended - 800 MHz CPU - 256 Megabytes of RAM - 3D accelerated 64 MB video card or equivalent with HTL and a 24-bit z-buffer - 160 MB free hard disk space plus space for saved games - 16X Speed CD-ROM/DVD-ROM - DirectX 8 Compatible Sound Card - MS compatible mouse - Keyboard Required Operating Systems: - Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP or Windows 2000 Note that Windows 95 is not supported (courtesy of ultimategamer.com) For DC: minimum system requirements: 128 MB RAM, 32 MB VRAM, 1200 MB disk space, sound card, DirectX v8.1. (courtesy of dlx.gamespot.com) That's the best I could find considering that the respective websites of the games don't even host that information. As most would also recommend, it's in your best interest to have at least 512MB RAM.
Paradigm
-Hayabusa] Recommended - 800 MHz CPU - 256 Megabytes of RAM - 3D accelerated 64 MB video card or equivalent with HTL and a 24-bit z-buffer - 160 MB free hard disk space plus space for saved games - 16X Speed CD-ROM/DVD-ROM - DirectX 8 Compatible Sound Card - MS compatible mouse - Keyboard Required Operating Systems: - Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP or Windows 2000 Note that Windows 95 is not supported (courtesy of ultimategamer.com) Heh I'd say at least 1ghz, 64 mb video card, 512 ram, and at least a 40 gig harddrive, for less loading time. Thats what my other computer has, and it lagged too much and you couldn't play well so I uninstalled it.

Kamikaze
I've pulled 100 fps a few times on a 32 mb PCI cardI've pulled 100 fps several times on a 64 mb PCI cardbesides, this will become a file server anywaysI'm getting a deal through work for a dual Opteron system, either that or dual AMD Athlon 64 FX or 64 3200 once the boards become more widely available and less expensiveEither that or dual 2600's, dunno I've been watching some prices, and it's almost time to go buy everythingJust a tad longer
WSAENOTSOCK
No.... you want a 128MB VIDEO CARD!My 64MB one is too small for DC... plus its a Geforce 2 MX 100/200, a couple years old, meaning that it probably doesn't have "PCI"
Macgyver
Not sure if it is coded for it or not.It cannot hurt that is for sure.DC/1942 is a totally different beast Kami. What you think you can get will not happen.I have a killer system that just cannot push the textures and polygons that this game produces. For example.Iwill KK266 plus Mobo XP1800 OC'd to 1727 150fsb SDRAM 256mb cas 2,3,3,6.GF3TI200 64mb at 230core and 530mem.Soundblaster live. What is that movie looking for pirate treasure.?Stutter stutter stagger stagger roll roll.It is really a beast of a game to get configged right.I even put a GF4 TI4200 in the above system. A 128mb model plus 512mb of system ram.Still not acceptable to me for playing.Stutter Stutter.
Kamikaze
-ClaymoreCarl]Will BF1942 take advantage of a dual processor setup? that was in part for my programming most of the progs I use can take advantage of dual cpus and I've seen what BF1942 does to beast systems communist heathens I'm gonna go play Brood Wars
Macgyver
That is about as fast as you can go with a Sdram system.DDR is much better but you still need to have top stuff to play and have it look ok.
Macgyver
You need a better card for sure but it should still do 1024x768x16 with deatils down to 80% and uncheck the three boxes.Try the sound card fix as well.Get all the latest drivers too for everything.
