Enders
I couldn't find a good section to put this in, so I'll put it hereI'm having trouble with Windows Media Player 9 series.Whenever I try to stream something or watch a file, I'll get the sound but no video. When streaming, I'll just see a black screen, but here all the voices and sounds normally. Whenever it's a file, it gives me one of those groovy "I'm so high I can see New York" music screens. And I can also normally hear the sounds and such. I think this started when I ported over to XP, that's probaly it.I've tried reinstalling WMP 9 over and over again, but still nothing. In the screen that shows what type of files it plays, called File Type, I have everything checked. So what's going on? Hayabusa
what you need are some video codecs. More than likely the DivX codec, or maybe the XviD codec. Go to http://www.divx-digest.com/software/index2.html#codecs. DivX 5.x and the XviD build should be enough.

WSAENOTSOCK
Yeah, completely reinstalling usually works. It worked for DC, for me.
