Kamikase have right. And dont forget the jumpers on the slave materials also on Ata100 & raid else they dont run !<--- Two Masters look like to have two women = not compatibles !But config's Psy4 is :primary master - hd 80 GB.primary slave - hd 80GB.secondary master - Plextor 48x24x50 cd-rw | Alternative with : secondary master - 2x-4x dvd+rwsecondary slave - dvd drive 16xBut mine is :primary master - hd 40 GB.primary slave - hd 80GB.secondary master - cd drive 52xsecondary slave - Rack for repair old hd (none Ata 100) with win failures and datas recovery...Ata100 & raid :primary master - Plextor 52x24x52 cd-rw | Alternative with : 2x-4x dvd+rw primary slave - hd 40 GB. secondary master - hd 4,5 GB.secondary slave - Empty slot for transfert hd files from one to another or for to retreive datas also...Egidio.

So, if I set the new one to Master and the backup as slave, all should work? Also, my old one seemed to be ripped or something :\, it would read only some CD's. I can try to get a pic up if possible. And I'll get a pic of my computer guts, cause I couldnt find another place for the drive's "large cord" to go. I looked on the Mobo, HD, and about everywhere else I could jam it into :p

|_____|________________________|^ ^ these go into your drivesnow the far left will go into your master drive the one next to it goes into the slave drive the end on the far right plugs into your motherboardif it's a standard ide cable, there should be a red/pink stripe on the side(I apologize for the crudeness of my example, but I'm lazy)
