  1. That is disgusting; I couldn't even read the whole article. The people don't realize that the stingray was just defending himself. The animal didn't know that it was Steve Irwin that he(it was a male stingray) had shot his barb at. This is why Irwin did what he had hoped to accomplish - educate people about why you don't mess with animals and why you should respect them. I bet the poor man is horrified by all of this, especially his family. I don't know if any of you read People magazine but they're finally covering what happened. There's a beautiful picture of Steve, Terri, Bindi Sue & Bob all together with a full-grown cheetah. An absolutely beautiful picture. I recommend checking the magazine out. I don't buy it too often myself but this issue was worth buying. R.I.P. Steve.
  2. Well, guess I should start drinkin more often huh? The baby in that pic is just too darn cute!!! (*waves* hi Hogan!)

While my heart is very heavy on this day of rememberance of the Sept. 11, 2005 attacks today is not the only day I choose to pray for the victims of the attacks and the families of those victims. I pray for them all every day of my life and I always will. I will never forget. (Klink, I love your new sig)
  4. w00t! Congrats deary
  5. Hey there, Bravo! Welcome! *waves*
  6. Ooo, I see...it still didn't work for me though
  7. 1) I had to download the file in order to view it, however... 2) Windows Media Player could not play the video for some reason. This makes me because Weird Al's raps are awesome!!! So are his Star Wars parodies... *recalls the good ol days of "my, my this here Anakin guy, may be Vader someday later now he's just a small fry...he left his home and kissed his mommy good-bye sayin 'soon I'm gonna be a Jedi....soon I'm gonna be a Jedi!' " * Yes, I still remember the lyrics...I'm not sure if that's funny, sad, pathetic, or all of the above...LOL
  8. exactly, I agree with you 100% on that one. I'm sure that his wife would agree. I feel bad for her and the kids.
  9. Finally, I managed to find a clip of Steve doin what he did best - working with crocs!!! (of course, I do believe it was stupid of him to do this in the croc's own environment but, he knew what he was doing and he knew when to quit) http://animal.discovery.com/beyond/player.html?dcitc=w13-501-ah-0000&bclid=44160648
  10. I did think that as well, and if that's the case, that is one giant koala!

It is very stupid to get behind the wheel of a car after having one drink, even if it's several hours after you've finished drinking it. Drunk driving accidents are one of the major causes of deaths for teenagers in this country. It's sad that we had to lose another young soul in such a tragic way... Once again, my prayers are being sent to the officer and his family.
  12. "Crikey! Ain't she a beauty?" I think it's some kind of giant rodent, if I'm not mistaken... My mother woke me up at 6:30 this morning to inform me of this tragic news. I loved watching Steve Irwin on his many quests to educate the public of rare and endangered animal species. It was a hoot watching him visit NYC for the first time in the middle of winter while wearing his Australian Zoo uniform. He had such a wonderful personality and a warm smile; I found it hard NOT to like him! Rest in peace, Crocodile Hunter. You will be missed by many... *Steve makes Conan O'Brien freak about a snake*(hysterical!) http://www.evtv1.com/player.aspx?itemnum=1040 *mourning the death of a friendly croc* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlxJ-UBaTaU

It is tragic that while one person is doing their duty to keep our local cities safe, their lives are constantly in danger... I will be keeping the fallen trooper and his family in my prayers. Same goes for you Wolfey, I'll be praying that you are always safe. I have much respect for anyone working in the police force. I may not always like certain individuals but I still hold them in high amounts of respect. May Bucky rest in peace.

it's okay Gator...we still loooove you (I guess when you're doing maintenance work in the wee hours of the morning a "u" can turn into an "i" if you've been up for hours on end hehe)
  15. very awesome sig Cleatus! great work - as always - Klink!
  16. hey cool, at least I'm not the only one who still wants to figure out how to play FA, lol seriously though it would be fun to join you guys in game sometime. I've watched W9 while he'd play, and it may take me a while to get used to everything(not my type of vid game really) but I do want to give the game a try. or, is there another first-person game any of you would recommend for me to get started on before I get into any of the Battlefield games? I know I need Steam to get on most of those servers but for practice and everything, any recommendations??
  17. aww you guys make me feel special don't worry, it's nothing that any of you have done. perhaps I will pop up on the site here n there whenever I get bored. (who knows when a good ol game of Tetris will be needed at 2am when I can't sleep? ) alrighty then...per request, I'll keep my account up & stop in every once in a while to see how you're all doing. thanks all for your support!
  18. Hey guys, For personal reasons I have decided to leave The Armory. When I came to this decision I was debating whether or not I should make a post about it but there are several of you that I've "chatted" with quite often in forum posts and knew that it wouldn't right if I just up & left without saying anything. It's been an interesting time being here at the site. Each and every one of you is such a unique individual and it was just plain fun hanging out with youz in the forums. (yes, {S}Loser that means you get your "Vlax" championship back  ) I don't know if there is a way I could delete my account here on my own or if one of the admins has to take care of that; if it is the job of the admins give this post a day or two in the forum so that word can get around. If there's some way that I can delete the account, please send me a PM and I will take care of things by Friday night. I hope everyone has a great weekend coming up and that you all have a wonderful life. I'll miss you guys! Sincerely, Melanie a.k.a. *WolfCub*
  19. now this is a thread I can really relate to! don't get me wrong, I'm not a lush or nothin. but I do like to cut loose sometimes. my favorite drink is a frozen strawberry margarita. hey, I'm a chick. I like my girly drinks. although I have done shots of black label JD before - did 3 of em and chased each shot with Pepsi afterwards(by recommendation from a friend since it was my first time doing shots of whiskey). didn't get drunk from them. a little buzzed, but not drunk. I like Jell-O shots too, the blue Jell-O with vodka in em. damn good stuff! my all-time favorite shots are Alabama Slammers: Gin, Rum, Sloe Gin, Tequila, Rum, Southern Comfort, & good ol' Orange Juice. I highly recommend trying the Slammers if any of the bars you ppl go to have em.
  20. WHOA! Mac, you look like my Uncle Tom...I'm not even kidding, you guys have the same smile and same hair style even. scary... (yes I know, I'm late on posting a response to this one. um, were there more pictures? because only the first one of you n your gf came up. love that pic tho! )
  21. ooh hurrah, now you sound like W9... *hides the kitty from you & W9*
  22. WITH your shoes? haha sounds like your little white kitty was like a dog. Ali follows me around like she is a dog. I call her name and whereever she is, she comes running up to me(she listens better than Terrance does haha). now, I think she's still too small to pick up a shoe but she *did* try to bury herself into my mom's sandal...the little pipsqueak I'll put more pics of her up in a few days over in the Gallery, as long as I can get her to keep still! it's very difficult to take a picture of a rambunctious kitten!
  23. Thanks for the encouragement everyone! So far she's been pretty good...she already goes right to her litterbox we set up for her and hasn't had any "accidents"(then again, it's only been 24 hours lol). The most interesting thing is getting her acquainted with our almost-3-year-old Golden Retriever/Collie mix. He was actually afraid of Ali when we brought her home last night, but today he more or less wants to play with her. We just have to be careful because of how tiny she is compared to how big he is(he's about 55lbs.). She's already been tested for fleas, worms, and viruses and she has none of those. We'll be taking her to the vet early next week to get her vaccinations, and yes we will definitely be getting her spayed when she's old enough to have the procedure done. BTW...she's already managed to hurdle over a 3-4 foot high fence we have blocking the living room from the bedroom area. Smart little kitty she is, LOL.

ooo yeah, I love it...the *Underworld* movies rock!
  25. Well, my mom was finally crazy enough to cave in and let me adopt a kitten! We adopted her from a lady who lives less than 5 minutes from us, and the poor thing was found near a dumpster with her mother and one other kitten. She's 12 weeks old and she is very tiny(no more than 4 pounds right now). We were going to name her Willow, but when we went to see her the lady called for Allie and the kitten responded to that name, so we won't change it. But here's a couple of pics of her...she's all white, except for a little black spot on the top of her head and her tail is black. She likes to sleep on my lap and nestle into my neck. I'm allergic to cats but I love them to much to not have one around haha. Also, she likes to chase the mouse on the computer screen, teehee. So, everyone meet Allie!
