at least he's getting over the crystals, on one note though me/my parents have had a cat for about 8 years and he is so attatched to those he knows when i moved out and went back a few weeks later to visit he was pissed at me and it took about 3-4 visits to get friendly again. when my mum goes away on holiday he barely eats and he doesn't even give her the time of day for at least a couple of days when they get back. as long as he's getting better with the illness and the sore is nothing i'd say once you get him home within a few days he'll get over it and be eating regularly
