  1. -Happy question fun time, but first...a story. -I bring this up because I played a good game the other day involving air superiority. We had a two man squad in a chopper, one support and one engi (important later). If someone called out a hostile vehicle or sniper, they where right there. I called for 'air support' at one point and they where on top of me in ten seconds, tops, hiding and firing TV missles at some inbound APC heading my way (i was sniper at the time)...they then landed, got out fixed/reloaded(i assume, i just saw the engi fixing but the other guy got out too) and then took off. Lastly, and the coolest, when I was on D in a walker i called for a fix, they hovered over me repairing and resuping me...Long story short...wow...between them and our tanks the OpFor could not use vehicles, groud or otherwise. -Who is usually the Armory pilot in (=A=) only games (ie clan wars)? I only assume there is a set few (one?), to keep coordination at the maximum. (ie. "'so-and-so' i need air support on flag 3 ASAP!") -Who guns? (did not expect that did ya?) From what I hear pilots hate gunners...The usual problem being, most players do not realise a thousand rounds of mikemike will hardly scratch the paint of an A-8, but rather say "HEY! I AM ANNOYING AND DANGEROUS...KILL ME FIRST!". -Do said pilot and gunner practice together? -What is the point of this thread?...Quite simple, (assuming I make it into TAC;)) would this be a viable and useful thing to do, if not already in practice. Practiced chopper tactics with two people, i mean. IADs for the Army folk. -I gun well...very well (ie. pilots eyes, know what weapon to use on what target, and where specificaly (engeneer...), best of all i can fly the TV missile (for the most part) and actively use the TV site to see what the pilot is checking out/targeting...I can fly well enough, but I am an NOE freak (I have a fair amount of kills by hitting hostiles with my skis:D). I can dodge anything but I can not fight worth a...poo:p. I use said flying skills to go pickup pilots who prematurly bail out lol. with liberty and justice for all. hehe:D :thumbsup:THE END:thumbsup:

  11. -I could have had the coolest pictur of a titan exploding -There was a glitch in one of the severs (i hope it was a glitch) and our titan did not lose its sheild after the requisite amount of damage was done...it just took damage from missles. Our...less than super...team then lost the game . I could have had a screenshot of a sheilded exploding titan, but i has too slow on the draw (plus laughter) and didn't hit the button . -Has anyone come across this? Only now do i realize, i should have written down the server name just incase it was foul play...

How about this... :thumbsup: -Enemy shields down / friendly shields up ---Cap and hold silos -Enemy shields down / friendly shields down ---All squads rush (suicidaly) enemy titan while lone wolves cap silos/assult/amuse themselves. Squads use assults and supports to clear APM/Traps (cause i have never seen an engi, other than me(you might be out there), clear mines so troops can advance on poor recons pushing their little remote...sans the boom) while Recons and Engis nuke consoles -Enemy shields up / friendly shields down ---Heavy on manpower but, 2 good squads defend (one on 1-3, the other 2-4). Everyone else cap silos.

(i know i should look it up, but i like it when you read it to me ) -What is...*deep breath* ...stat padding, arty, uncap kills, the various forms of 'rape', and other goofy terms used in "rules" (i am of the belief 'if i can do it and you can do it, even if it is lame, it is fair...thus the quotation marks) -why are there knife/pistol/defib games?!? Is that just some noobz getting badges? Is that legal? -Why will the game not save my mic boost setting? -that is all i have, thanks for reading. More to follow on the next exciting episode of :thumbsup: The New Guy That Asks Things.

  15. -Thanks to the ineffable Gator:thumbsup: and his wisdom of the ages;) the problem has been resolved -for any others out there turn on mic boost(gain) in options and, incase it matters, switch from T1 to cable. Good gaming to ya Edit: GIJOE was helpful too (i didn't forget you man )
  16. -I continue to be annoied by my mic. It works in vent, windows sound recorder, other games, but not in BF...i hit 'V' and the speaker comes up, but noone can hear me. I have changed the in/outbound sound (mute is off), still nothing...even the BF mic program wont pick up me talking (regaurdless of slider position. :thumbsup:-I was thinking of reloading BF...How will that affect my account??? -Thanks for any help

I like the APM wo/IFF it allows snipers to set up a nest and not get knifed...{lay 2, snipe, pick them up, move to new location} (they are on the sniper unlock tree) but they cant be used as flag/hall defence (somethimg support/snipers should cover) Motion mines should have IFF (engi bias perhaps...)...they are slow, anounce their location (float at eye level+klaxon), and are an engineer weapon (less engis per game than recons). You can bail out of a vehicle, APM bails you out of your body with no warning. Umm...yeah, that is all. (i play Engi/SecOp(w/apm:rolleyes:) so i use them both)
  18. What color is your reticule/cresshair/aiming thing? Just an odd question out of the blue...caffine induced...then...coma Mine is a light/sky blue -EDIT: after hearing some tips from the pros i have gone the purple

  21. i have maxed out the engeneer and have many pins/medals/etc. for it so i am climbing the SpecOp tree next. my questions is this: -i have few demopacks...what buildings control what commander ability and how many DPacks are needed to destroy it? thanks
  22. -my first action was to verify pickup with MS Sound Recorder (functional). -the headset has standard GP plug -i have just been notified, via email, that i needed to be accepten to vent by you guys (done) -the mic does not work in-game now...will that mater after vent is up and running?? --thanks for the prompt feedback--
  23. while i am here... so i have searched the forums...to no avail my mic only works out of game (it is a logitech precision gaming headset, just FYI). when i first installed this game i skipped the mic seting thing. i found it in the BF2142 folder but i can not make anything move (i can hear myself in the speakers however. as for ventrillo, i get a username/server name/bindings screen and all i know to enter is a username. i can not find the auto connect button, as shown in ventrillo help on this site, anywhere (here, BF2142, ventrillo). sorry if these have been answered elsewhere but i could not find my situation, and thank you in advance for any useful help. good gaming to you
  24. so i was thinking again (i can tell from the hurtyness in my head)...and these are my thoughts night fighting...would that be too much of a overhaul for the graphics or could the ambient light be turned down with some night vision for soldiers. Vehicles would need headlights that could be toggled on/off. And spotters would be needed for long range tank fire/titan cannons/air support/etc. Night vision could have a "scope field of view" sans zoom, also having an on/off toggle. i know games are long enough and this would only make them longer, but it could add some fun for close supportive squads. I just thought i would throw that out there. Any ideas, likes, dislikes, forseeable problems, etc.?
