Razer 5.1 Headphones with Mic
u got dumbo ears tilly? Glad to hear about this...I've been eying these things for a while. Now I'll just stick with using external speakers and the cheap plantronics with the boom for a mic. I rely heavily on the rear speakers...anyone else?

vista + 2142?
I used to have to do this and then finally realized that there is a Windows driver (XP anyway...not sure about pissta) for AMD's dual core CPUs that fixed all my issues. Thanks for all the feedback...I'm gonna stay with XP until I get a more manly CPU and more memory.

Yeah I hear ya on piracy, my wife is the same way but she's non-technical so I fly under the radar. Luckily I'm covered on XP with corporate policy and volume license...I've been known to share though, heh.

Bought XP? Oh man... shoulda sent me a pm first  Interesting though that you guys are seeing better performance with 4GB. I'm only running 2GB which might explain why it had dramatic slowdowns after running for a couple weeks (takes about 2 weeks to get all my crap loaded up prolly, which leaves little overhead for 2142). My CPU kinda sucks tho compared to the Core 2's. Thanks for the feedback though. Main reason I ask is because one of my homies irl crashes after each map. He's running 8800 gts also but has Core 2 quad with Vista 32. Maybe it's something that has to be ironed out with the quad core stuff.

Picking a school in San Antonio
I sure don't, I wish I did because I'd "hook a brother up". What you should do is find a school with a Mexican name, go there, learn spanish, get beat up everyday, and you'll pwn at life because you'll know spanish and will be tough! haha, j/k

vista + 2142?
I installed Vista 64 and then Vista 32 last month and tried out BF. Overall the performance wasn't that good and after a couple weeks on each OS the performance got terrible. I stuck another 6800 Ultra in my machine and tried running SLI and then found out that Vista nVidia drivers don't do SLI with 6800's so I went back to XP. A couple weeks ago I went out and got a 8800 GTS but am leary of trying Vista again. So, long story short, is anyone running Vista with an 8800 and getting good stability and performance with 2142? (32 or 64 bit?)
