I had this problem as well on 2 different computers and had 2 different solutions. First was the latest ATI drivers for my vid card didn't like cod4, it caused a directx error and would just crash upon starting up. Revert back to a later version fixed that. Then had an issue where the game would just quit, sometimes seeming like a PB issue other times not. Found a post that eventually fixed the issue, had to go in and rename one of the files and now it works without any issues. The file was mssmp3. I spent hours and hours trying everything before getting it to work, uninstalled all programs, updated drivers, reverted drivers, shut down all services but the few needed to run, etc.

After playing with some of you last night on the american soldiers 2 server (think that was the name) I'm rethinking what gametype rotation would be more fun. That sabotage/HQ/S&D rotation was great, never got bored of one type and really kept things fun.

I know there's a thread about the maps/gametypes but for the pure domination server is there plans to change that config around? I saw last night it was reverted back to default and wondered if it was going to stay that way? It would be great to see at least TKs turned on to cut down on nade spam and make people think a bit more

Also a lot saying 'CHEATERS' and even though there are some videos of cheats ALREADY, I don't think this was the case...at least I hope not.

Well I seem to have found my own answer to this on the IW forums. Seems like I'm not the only one having these issues so hopefully a patch will soon fix this. Carry on

So last night I had a few instances where I shot several times at someone and got the hit indicators, in a couple cases I dumped 6 shots+ into them, however they kill me. The strange thing is in kill cam it shows me either firing once (in the cases I was unloading rounds) or not firing at all. So the question is, does killcam show an accurate representation of what happened or is it off? I'm wondering if it's killcam or my connection, but my connection was good and ping was averaging 60s

I'd like to see domination and S&D, both require more teamwork which I personally like. S&D is what I'm use to playing due to the teamwork aspect but I'm starting to like domination more with COD4. Not sure on the maps yet, not that little square map with the cargo containers that's for sure. Settings (though this wasn't really asked): -no killcam -respawn times for domination -no crosshairs -TK's on I'm really into the team aspect of COD, it's much more fun to work as a team than to run around randomly shooting people IMO. I'd rather win every map and have 1 kill than have 50 kills and lose. The ability to make it a great team playing environment is there but it may take some tweaking of settings to promote that.

Just wanted to post and say Hi Played on your server and it was a lot of fun, seems like a good group of people in the clan. Myself and a couple of my former clan mates will be stopping by, we've been searching for a good server to play on but it's hard wading through the junk out there lol We're long time CoD players starting back with the original, our clan was Victor Company (http://www.warmongers.org/victorcompany) but the clan went stale after CoD2. Anyway, see you guys on the battlefield (I'll be the one constantly respawning )
