definatly sounds like drivers. many of the games built within the last year dont fully support pci-e cards... included css (green tinge on weapon models in dark). farcry also was anti pci-e for many months intill drivers and patches were released. now like torch said, update everything, including your mobo drivers. the fact that you have to change audio settings sounds like your comp isnt supporting it. oh yeah, i had to install the drivers on the bf2 cd for nvidia, even thought the ones on the nvidia site were newer, i still had issues. so try rolling those back to the ones on the cd.

invest in a sharpie pen... then when you get a game... write the key right on the install disk. then if you lose your manual or case, its no biggie.

hint guys... if your on the other end (driving the tank) and you see a special ops running towards you from the side or front... FLOOR IT! dont bother trying to shoot him, get your ass out of there then turn around. i like being support, its good for fending off large assaults on flags. it isnt exactly good though if you are running around.

i know this is the wrong forum, but at the same time can you think of a way to repopulate the cs:s server. its been somewhat dead since the whole ip addresses changing everyday... one idea whould maybe send out all the most current ips of each server and a request to come and play to all the people registered on the forums... just an idea.

well... theres the open source 'cube engine'. if your planning on making a game with the source engine (not a mod), its gonna cost you for licencing :S. frost is right though... your gonna have a lot of reading up to do... and your gonna need alot of help. one suggestion, when your coding, note what everthing does when your writing it. your going to have a pain in the ass if you dont later on.
