Well done rebel. One week to get major/lieutenant general!
  2. Someone lower the server population to 32 from 48. 6 people to start the server compared to 8 is a huge difference.
  3. Please tell me that the 2142 soldier kicked in once and you jumped over someone's head, dolphin dived, and then shot them in the back
  4. Dang Griiiimmeh, that looks so awesome. Did you get to do that through some friends or is it a group of people who go out regularly that you joined?

Print screen, then paste it wherever you like (I use paint because I'm an amateur).
  6. To see it spin the other direction, you ahve to look at it again but with a new focal point.
  7. I can see her moving clockwise, but if I try hard enough, I can get her to go the other way. I don't know that I believe clockwise uses the right side of the brain, because I'm pretty sure my left brain is dominant.

I got mine from creative for around 50 USD and it works just fine. Sometimes it has difficulties adjusting the brightness based on certain odd background lightings, but it generally works ok.

The other method is: When in game (before joining a server), go to the communities tab and relaunch Battlefield 2142 v1.50 (I believe it's under the "mods" tab or something). That worked for me, and I imagine it does basically the same thing.
  10. Was running fine last night, but it crashed again . Good games with those who joined me on =TRR=
  11. It might be your host. My old clan went through two or three before we found a pretty decent one. When I go find what they're using, I'll update this (I think it is WolfGamers...?)
  12. Yeah, I can understand that. As amazing as Bioware is, they really blew it when they released KOTOR II.
  13. It crashed on me; Only Oreo and I came back This happened last week, actually (I thought it happened yesterday, but that's what happens to your brain during finals week).

Yeah, I always kneel and zoom. Most of the time I win face offs like that (except when playing some of you guys ), but for players who don't aim as well, that might not work. Jumping over peoples' heads is amazing. Most players don't turn around before they die.
  15. /agree Warcraft III was the RTS I got into as well. Fantastic game, very well done. I've been playing dota since the old RoC version came out and it's grown a lot since then. Just got approved as an official Electronic Sports World Cup game and I think it is only going to get bigger. I really don't think Blizzard is going to blow it with Starcraft 2. It might not be as phenomenal as Starcraft 1 was, but nothing can really live up to that. What is it? 11 years and still going strong? Also, I haven't seen Blizzard blow any of their games to be honest (I'm thinking Starcraft 1, Diablo 2 + Exp, War II + Exp, War III + Exp, WoW and on as those are the only ones I have played).

+1 to Gadfry's comment. Squading up with diligent revivers is the number one way to go (I'm all over corpses like a necrophiliac in a graveyard...). As for you individually, it really depends on your aim. If you feel confident with your aim, you can usually just go head to head and win. If not, the best tactic for me is to get them to miss. As obvious as this sounds, it's a little more complex than that. If they start shooting at you and don't hit very many, then they start getting heavier recoil and will miss more, which will give you a little bit extra time to drop them. The best way to do this is to zigzag, jump, or dive (as long as your not too close). The average 2142 player will empty their clip, veteran players will miss some(Diving throws me off from time to time), and exceptional players will still probably kill you (although I've gotten a leg up on better players by doing this: i.e. Treble or Fieldboy). I would also recommend playing assault. You can shrug off any damage after each fight and get a boat load of points reviving people (as long as you're not afraid to go sprinting through grenades and massive amounts of cross fire).
  17. 2142 destroys my latency. The school also has terrible packet transfer protocols for gaming. If 50%+ of the school is on the internet (i.e. any time other than 12pm or later) I usually get 200-600 ping, unless it's an exceptionally lucky day or they're doing maintenance. With WoW I get 85-180ms on average during the same times, so I don't know what the deal is. If anyone can check if this works for 2142, that would be fantastic. What server do you play on in WoW? I'm starting up a character in Spirestone and will be playing in August September if you want to make an alt there.
  18. I know that they were having trouble with stats on Wake Island and Shingle, so they may be working on that which might subsequently effect all other stats.

Shingles is too tall! I'm not used to having to look up all the time

Man, I still remember playing RA2 at LANs. I think this game will be pretty fun. Worth buying, in my opinion.
