We are very excited to announce the first details on Battlefield 3 and to kickstart the preorders for the Limited Edition! Battlefield 3 is the true successor to Battlefield 2. Beyond our signature multiplayer, we have also included a full single-player campaign and a co-op campaign all straight out of the box. As for fan favorite features, how does the return of jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer (on PC) sound? Just in from EA's Battlefield Blog PS3 Maintenance work coming up! Tomorrow (Feb 3rd) we will have a downtime for BFBC2 PS3 during 06:00 – 11:00 GMT. This is the second phase of the stats database rebuild – this phase is done separately for BFBC2 PS3. We are measuring performance both before and after this operation. We expect that there will be some minor stats issues right after the downtime when all the players are getting back online at the same time; this effect will diminish over the following 2 hours.
