Battlefield 5's Grand Operations Won't Be Available At Launch [Update: EA Says It Will Be Playable On Release] - GameSpot WWW.GAMESPOT.COM One of Battlefield V's big new features is coming "shortly after" the game releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. [Updated] One of the big new features coming in Battlefield V is Grand Operations, an "upgraded version" of the Operations multiplayer mode introduced in Battlefield 1. However, it appears players won't be able to participate in this new multiplayer experience until after the game releases. EA shared more details about Grand Operations in a new post on the official Battlefield V website. Most notably, the post reveals that the first Grand Operation will be available "shortly after launch." No other timing details were shared in the post, so it remains to be seen how long players will have to wait to play the first one. EA says Grand Operations are "designed to seamlessly showcase the maps and modes of Battlefield V." Each one lasts roughly an hour and takes place across three in-game "days," beginning with an insertion. In the Norway Operation, that will take the form of the new Airborne mode, which has one team parachute onto a map to destroy a group of artillery cannons while the other defends against their attack. How well your faction performs will determine how the remaining days of the Grand Operation begin. As EA explains, "Play well on the first day and deploy with an adequate supply of ammo or vehicles when the map shifts, for example. Do poorly, and you'll deploy the next day with perhaps fewer respawns, vehicles, or other resources."

Yeah everyone is trying to figure out the new meta. Which was 2 assault, 1 drone and 1 long range. Now it seems to be at least 2 drones, medic, and as much long range as you can squeeze in. Or 1 drone and 3 long range. It will take a little bit but i think the run and gun is still viable but not all the time. It will be more selective on the maps being played.

OK so now we can have 2 players doing revives or have a back player freed up to go up front where he is more useful. I like that. A second drone shooting toxic gas on scrapyard will be nice too! Mine the doors to give them a nice house warming exit.

Ghost Mode Permadeath: If players are not revived when down, their game is over and progression is reset. New Loadout: Players will only be able to use one main weapon and one handgun. Real Reloading: When players reload with a partially full clip, remaining bullets will be lost. Friendly Fire: Players' shots and actions can cause damage to teammates. Gear Management: Players can only switch weapons at ammo boxes or by looting enemies. Well right now they are about the only serious game left in town as far as Triple A titles go. IF only Ubi would do a 64 player game. They could dominate the whole market. EA and Activision have lost the their way as well as the PC market. Everything they have put out for about the last 3 years has been garbage.
