  1. So I saw Patches post on his latest bathroom tile project and wanted to ask him about bathroom tile, but thought I would post it as a forum topic in case someone else had some advice. Two of my bathrooms have plain, white, 4x4 tile and it need to be replaced. The master bath has a jacuzzi and walk in shower. The shower has fibergalss base that is all stained and won't come clean (thanks to the previous redneck inhabitants). I'm pretty handy with woodwork and ornamental iron, but I've never tried tile before. So here are my questions: 1. Any recommendations on what tile I should get (stone, porcelain, ceramic)? Should I make it all the same for all surfaces? 2. I want to go cheap, but not to the point having it look cheap. Is the peel and stick stuff any good and can I put it on top of the white tile? I don't really want to go down this road, but it would be easier and quicker. 3. I have formica counter tops in my kitchen. Any experience with tiling over that? 4. Any general advice in doing this kind of work? Thanks.
  2. That video was hilarious!
  3. That looks great. I need to do something with my crappy mater-bath - I've got white, porcelain tile everywhere. If you're looking for a good toilet, try this one. I bought two of them and they work great. Here's the seat I bought to go with them.
