  1. The two should play each other for the right to keep the prefix.
  2. Yeah, look at the technological advances that have produced Steam! oh wait.....
  3. That's right, Teladro is a black sheep to this FA community. I think he should change his sig to a black sheep to reflect it too.
  4. don't forget "TA's Blackest Sheep"
  5. Those who are not sure of the spelling of 'graduate' should not be allowed to
  6. Geez Random, get a telephone
  7. *Looks scornfully at [TA]-Teladro, The Armory's one and only black sheep *
  8. I'd like one that was like half a picture of a g36 or mp5, and a potatoe in there too of course, and half a big picture of you and "MADE BY [TA]-SHARPSHOOTER6!!"I'd have a sig for the posts I make, and you'd have a sig for the sig you made.
  9. I thought we had more than this sharp...... Here are a couple I took: Cannonball! SS6 making it easy for the red snipers
  10. What factors make up the Skill rating in the stats page? Is it a combination of something like total kills, weapons used, K/D ratio, and points captured?
  11. Hmmm..... Call me crazy or old-fashioned, but maybe it was the fact that the cubs gave up like 9 runs in one inning that contributed more to the loss than a fan interfering with a ball. I've been a big cubs fan all my life, but I've never heard of this curse before last year. My theory? If a cursed team were to play an entire series without sucking, they would break the curse. If they started sucking, then they would still have the curse..... the curse of sucking.
  12. Like I said, tfen got me curious, and I didn't wanna just start another thread about it but I still had nothing better to do with my time. Besides, I think we all learned something from it, that France actually won a war. :? And I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal out of Canada helping to burn down the White House. Timothy McVeigh blew up a federal building and Al Qaeda knocked down the World Trade Center towers, and look what happened to them. Lesson: Small jabs at America are fine, but if you grab our attention with something like that, you'll regret it.

    ha, that's great
  14. The problem isn't that kids are imitating violent video games, it's that kids are stupid enough to confuse games with reality. If you teach kids morals and common sense first and THEN let them play violent games, then they'll know better than to be violent in real life. If not, then you'll have a constant flow of kids getting hurt from trying out wrestling moves with their friends  .
  15. Hmmm, tfen got me thinking, and considering I'm a very sad individual with nothing better to do, here is a list of all military conflicts in which France was a major participant, as well as the result for the French (to save you some reading, the French haven't won a war without the assistance of the USA since 1678). And remember, if you search for "French Military Victories" on google, it'll ask if you meant "French Military Defeats" for a very good reason: First Indochina War, 1946-1954, France vs. Vietnam: France tried to reclaim it's territories lost to Japan during WWII. They were finally defeated with devastating losses in the Siege of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 by the Viet Minh. War resulted in the formation of North and South Vietnam. World War II (pre-US involvement) 1939-1941, France, Poland, British Empire vs. Germany, Italy, Soviet Union: German forces, after defeating Poland, swept into France through the Low Countries and quickly defeated French and British forces throughout France, leading up to Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of French and British forces from Dunkirk to Britain from May 27 to June 4, 1941. The French surrendered to German forces shortly after this operation on June 22, 1941, and ceded control of northern and western France to Germany, while retaining rule over unoccupied Vichy France in the South. World War I, 1914-1918, Britain, France, Russia, (US) vs. Germany, Austria-Hungary, Otoman Empire: After the withdrawl of Russia from the war in 1917, German forces began advancing on Paris. Before they reached it though, the US entered the war, and together with French and British forces, repelled the German offensive. American forces then mounted the Meuse-Argonne offensive and, together with some Italian troops, forced the surrender of all Central Powers in 1918. France was never defeated in this war, but would have been if not for the US involvement, and did not participate heavily in the offensive that won the war, so it's kinda a neutral outcome for them. Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871, France vs. Prussia: Prussia crushed French forces in under ten months, culminating in the Treaty of Frankfurt, which forced France to cede Alsace-Lorraine to Germany and pay Germany 2 billion francs for the cost fo the war. Crimean War, 1854-1856, Britain, France, Ottoman Empire vs. Russia: France's involvement in this war was a disaster, and they contributed litlle to the actual offensives. The Treaty of Paris ending the war was only signed between Britain and Russia, and neither surrendered. Alexander II rose to the throne in Russia and wished to end the conflict. Another instance of France not being defeated, but relying heavily on the help of other countries. Napoleonic Wars, 1803-1815, France vs....... well, Europe, and some of Asia and Africa: These wars are too complicated to explain even in mild detail. Basically, Napoleon slowly spread French rule around Europe and Asia until defeated in Russia (think it would be hard to invade Canada? try Russia). Allied forces descended on Paris and defeated Napoleon, exiling him to Elba in April, 1814. Napoleon escaped and returned to France on March 1, 1815, and was defeated at Waterloo on June 18, 1815 and was exiled to Saint Helena (near South America I believe). Though France had some impressive victories under Napoleon, they still lost. American Revolutionary War, 1775-1781, 13 British colonies and France vs. Britain: After colonial victories drew French aid to defeat long-time rivals Britain, the French defeated the British navy near the mouth of the Chesapeake to cut supplies to British troops in Yorktown, and a coalition of 16,000 American and French troops forced the surrender of Cornwallis in Yorktown, VA on October 19, 1781. This is it, the French were a driving force behind a military victory. French and Indian War (Seven Years War), 1754-1763: Britain and its colonies vs. France and the Native Americans: Culmination of hostilities between France and Britain in the New World that were more individual battles than an organized war. France surrendered on February 10, 1763 to Britain, and kept a few holding in the Caribbean, but lost most of its North American holdings, including the cession of Canada to Britain. The War of the Grand Alliance, 1688-1697, France vs. Britain and League of Augsburg: France had expected assistance from England during this war, but after the Glorious Revolution in 1689, England sided with the League of Augsburg, thus forming the Grand Alliance. The war ended with the Treaty of Ryswick in 1697, in which King Louis XIV returned most territories he had gained since 1679. The Franco-Dutch War, 1672-1678, France vs. Brandenburg, Holy Roman Empire, Spain, and the United Provinces: France advanced into Holland, but were stopped when the Dutch cut their dikes and threatened to drown the French troops. The war ended with the Treaty of Nijmwegen in 1678, which allowed the Spanish Netherlands to keep all it's territory, negotiated a trade of cities between France and Spain on the border of France and the Spanish Netherlands, AND gave France control of Franche-Comte', a region often fought over by France and Spain. France gained more land than they lost and did so unilaterally. The French won the Franco-Dutch war, though only over the Netherlands, but technically also over Spain, the Holy Roman Empire, and Brandenburg. The last time France won a war was 1678. Great thanks to http://en.wikipedia.org/ for all this great info.
  16. Yes, but the point is that our soldiers have offered their lives to their country, and many have lost them. They made this "sacrifice" (a better definition of the word I don't think can be found) not because they had the same interests and needs as their country, but they saw their country's interests and needs and took up arms to fight for that which had given so much to them, their families, and their friends. Every person in America needs to be reminded that they stand on the shoulders of those who gave their lives so that we may live ours in freedom.
  17. Yeah I remember back when I first saw goss play I thought he cheated. Everyone does. But I haven't seen anyone as stubborn as doc about it, most people change their minds once they find out goss is on the CD team. You just kinda have to have faith that the CD guys don't cheat, it would be too easy for them. However, I have seen other people who do much more amazing things than three kills per clip, like strafing headshots with a famas. Can't prove it though, so I won't name names, but there's no doubt in my mind about it.Since there are cheaters here, goss, you'll just have to put up with the occasional accusation until it's explained (maybe we should put a link on the homepage "water does not cheat!" and let people read the explanation to save us some typing time). But good or not, doc was out of line, this is interfering with gameplay I think. He needs to be warned about accusations without proof.
  18. It's picking your battles Luker3. Everyone in my high school class had to read a huge packet on Christan Service and write a paper reflecting on community service they had done. I wrote mine on how I didn't have time to do such a stupid assignment. I had such contempt for that "teacher". Ironically, the science and math departments liked me more after they heard about it. That was interesting.
  19. Yes, I don't want to talk about religion either. But the truth is it causes many problems in this country, as well as many great things, such as the humanitarian aid we give even to countries that hate us. Every political discussion will involve religion because religion can't be separated from a government run by religious people, nor should it necessarily be.I don't wanna discuss the difference between capitalism and communism either, becasue we've been through this before on other threads. But everyone in America is given the opportunity to succeed. The people whose minds and souls capitalism kills are often the same people who failed all their classes in school or had a child in their teens and had to get a job. Those who reap nothing from capitalism often don't sow anything either. Capitalism doesn't owe them anything, but it does give them the freedom to go to Canada and insult the US, though the stupid and lazy won't be successful there either. There are still some things that need to be changed: higher minimum wage, higher income taxes for the wealthy, but for the most part, if you want to be successful you can. The Land of Opportunity. As for the reasons for war, once again we've all been through this. However, I think you don't realize that we don't get more oil by attacking Iraq, because the amount of oil we get is controlled by OPEC (which currently has reduced exportation of oil to the US to strangle our economy so Bush gets defeated in November, one of my own theories ). Sure we invaded Iraq, but we got no oil from it. I myself do believe we were justified in attacking because I believe the world is a better place now. I want troops to be pulled from Iraq as soon as possible, but not so soon that civil war might erupt because proper government wasn't in place. Above all, I want to make sure that there is no Gulf War III.
  20. Hey I think you forgot to put something else on the list that comes from Canada: lies.
  21. With great power comes great responsibility, Ky. Like it or not everyone, but US politics are not based solely on capitalism, but also on Christianity. Do you really think we'd spend (waste, in many cases) so much money on social programs if it weren't for morality. No matter how infrequently it is practiced, Christians are taught to love their neighbors as themselves, and it is immoral not to do so. It's like the parable of the Good Samaritan. If there is a disaster in another country, we rush to help because we know without our help, there would be much more suffering among the survivors. In case you haven't noticed, the US doesn't much care what the rest of the world thinks about us. If we did, we wouldn't have broken from the UN in attacking Iraq. Trying to keeping countries on our side is futile because no matter what we do, we will always be accused of alterior motives. First Iraq war? Oil. Kosovo? Distraction. Second Iraq war? Distraction. Opponents have asked why we don't invade some other countries as well. Well, what if we did invade those countries? North Korea? Suck up to the Japanese. China? Eliminate economic competition. African tyrranies? Did it for the resources. Pakistan? We hate Islam. Venezuela? Oil again. There are always alterior motives that you can accuse us of having for military action, but they are like conspiracy theories: theories that make sense and that people want to believe, but that have no actual evidence to support or refute them. So Ky, if you want to hate us, you'll always find a reason to, just like the rest of the world who wants to hate us will. So why should we care? And you're right, the Marshall Plan was partially to prevent the spread of communism. But if thats the only reason to rebuild those countries, then why would we care what happened to Iraq after we captured Hussein? We'd just leave and let the Iraqi people fend for themselves. However, just like in Germany, 99.99999% of the people in Iraq were just doing their jobs too, so maybe we should help THOSE people to rebuild their lives since they weren't exactly willing participants in the war (though I GUARANTEE you 100% that more Germans supported Hitler than Iraqis supported Hussein). And so what if we prevented the spread of communism and the USSR, kill count 62 million, 55 million of which were its own people. Is that a crime or something to prevent a system like THAT from spreading?

Probably just a temporary ban for a few days. People have been typing around the filter more and more so i can understand how admins con get fed up with it. Just wait for the admin who banned you to post his reasons.
  23. Anson Carter now plays for the Washington Capitals, my home team! Unfortunately they're going downhill fast but they're still my team. Ironically enough, guess where Anson Carter was born........ that's right, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
