DCX imo is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy better than vanilla DC. It would be nice if the TA server was running it. *hint* *hint*

The poll on the main page regarding whether or not spawn camping should be allowed or not does not have enuogh options. I would say that basecamping in DC is okay if & only if all other points have been capped. Attacks of a "guerilla" or "hit & run" nature are also okay. Of course air attacks are okay too. That's my 2 cents.

I sure would like to see more TA peeps playing HI. HI needs ppl to set a good example. Right now its expirencing a influx of players from CS. Not a bad thing in and of itself however these CS players bring thier bad attitudes with them.

Joystick(w/twist rudder) and mouse. Joystick for control surfaces and such...keyboard for weapon selection and the like.Sure hope Combat Helo gets down soon. I miss Jane's Longbow2.

Tracker? Pfft! I dont need or like it to tell ya the truth. To me it seems just another way for leets to lord thier leetness over others. If a person wishes to register to the Tracker forums a much better reason would be because Elektra is there. Elektra > Tracker

Here is a Hostile Intent ASE filter I made. Half-Life Steam\Hostile Intent Mutex: HLSGAME Icon: $BASE\hostileintent\hostileintent.ico 2 if gamedir ~!= "hostileintent" remove I placed this in my ASE filter.txt in between AHL & FLF. You can do that if you wish or you can dl the entire filter doc if messing with stuff is too scary for you. A cpl of things important to remember... 1. make a backup of your original ASE filter 2. make a backup of you new filter or at least backup the tiny bit of filter code I have written. 3. turn off ASE automatic updates as this will overwrite any customisation 4. play HI You can email me at bobyaddayadda@hotmail.com Make sure to include the reason for the email in the subject as I get so much spam I empty my mailbox quite vigorously. You can also goto the FA OTF or the HI General forums for the filter. If I could attach it to this post I would.

Woohee! I just had a great game. Over the course of the match I got over 1500 points! I was really smoking! SFHospital as Escort 18C. I would take my M4 w/Bipod & Acog 4X and watch the helo pad building long hallway from the left exit outta Escort spawn. Sometimes I would go either in the Escort building or near the hospital just to throw them off. I was picking them off like flies. I even went up a honor point while in game. lol Not all the points of were from kills of course. We had a really good team and a really good VIP. Best game of AA I have had so far.

Plz dont give exact routes. The SF E&E test is meant to be earned. I cant stop you of course. Not my forum but......it just isnt right. The tests were put in there for a reason. To weed out those that do not have the attention span or patience to complete the tests.

Yeah...I trust Valve. Trust them to screw things up that is.

SF tests are meant to be earned not given. If I were to give you the route(s) to follow that would be cheating. I can give you tips, but I will not give you the complete answers. Whaddya mean first fake jeep checkpoint? The only fake jeep checkpoint I know of is at the end of the E&E test/course. If you are truly at the end of the course.....dont go for the jeep....go for the troop truck further down the road.

One of the things I like about AA is some of the options for server ops. The server op can control when and if the scoreboard is available. He can set it so you cant see the scoreboard at all or you can only see at at the end of the round or you can only see it at the end of a match. This is pretty cool if you are playing on a No Death Messages server. The server can set up the scoreboard so you cant use it to tell who is dead or not. =)However even tho I love AA it still has some serious issues. Like for instance the log-on auth erros. Ppl try to play the game but since the auth server is wacked it sometimes wont allow you to play. In fact I havent been able to play AA for 14 hours(no make that 15 now) because of the probs. If they ever manage to fix these auth probs AA could replace FA for me. I like AA better than FA but FA is far more stable.

I love the game. Tho the maps I prefer to play no one else likes. =( Swamp, farm, hq raid, mckenna, and mtn ambush. All the other maps are waaaaaaayyyyy over played. As for it being to slow paced....im just the opposite. I wish it was even slower paced. In fact I wish the clock could be set to like a half hour or so. That way there would be some good sneaking. 10 min speeds things up a bit much for me.

I am thinking of switching over to Linux but I have a few questions. 1) Is it free and downloadable? 2) Which kernel should I use? 3) Can I run games with it just like Windows? God knows that if I had had been arrested for every crazy, stupid, idiotic, or even just plain fun thing me and my mates did when I was in school I would have been locked up and the key would have been thrown away.

I personally prefer the old WON system. Not because I cant get to STEAM to work. I can, in fact I got it to work right off the bat w/o any probs. One of the things I do not like about STEAM is the console. I prefer the old Quake/HLish-pull-down-cover-half your screen console over the UTish console window box. I do admit however that STEAM is the way of the future and it shows a lot of promise and potential, but that however still does not mean I have to like it. Mebbe Im just a old curmudgeon that doesnt accept change. When it is forced upon me I will have two choices: quit playing HL and its progeny or use STEAM. It is at that point that I will most lkely start using STEAM.

Well Im kinda bummed they are down. After 4.5 months of no net access & no pc I wanted to go and visit ya know? Yesterday being my first day back, I goto the FA Forums and whaddya know....
