Dominican Profile? player
its 10pm aug 17th on your server. Dominican profile is at 40-0 running the 1 man tank on Amiens. His team - the German has doubled our score by the time the Germans reached 400. I guess I'm giving a heads up. Don't believe I've seen him on before, but then my old head is just that - dementia-ed. Looks like someone reported him, from chat - [DIRT]Velkank. Dom profile player says "you know I have 27k tank kills". ah well.

BF1 Prise de Tahure Update Rolling Out July 20th
Here's my problem with this July update - the latency soft lock option - Now I don't know what they mean by softlock, but my mate was kicked for latency from your server last night - he plays thru a 4G phone connect - he's rural. And I'm experiencing zoom pings myself - normal ping is in the 70s, but it will zoom to above 200 and I get the usual running in place, or others appear to be running in place. I warp. I barf. Here's the problem for me - my zooming ping may be fixable with my ISP but I can't do traceroutes to the game server COZ THERE'S NO FREAKING IP ADDY! This update - Implemented a latency soft lock option where players with a ping higher than 100ms higher get kicked automatically. This appears to be a death nail for my buddy, tho. He gets similar ping on West Coast servers - above 100 - where he lives. The rest of our gang of 4 live in the midwest, and all of us get near or over 100 pings on West Coast servers. I've been googling about the soft lock and latency, and I checked out the server settings - there is a server setting called lenient latency, but I believe that's the one about adjusting a player's high ping when there is a gap in latency between 2 players, ie, lag compensation. That's been in since .... June? the latency notice on the right that you see when your ping gets high? Dice. Can't fuzz 'em, can't deal with them. Read your BF forum post, Gator. Nuff said. PS. found this in a twitter feed - You are getting kicked when u r above for 10+ secs above 100 for 10 plus seconds is a kick. Ok. Now I know that much.

RSP update
Great stuff, running all 15 maps. I've been looking for a server that combines the old and 1st dlc, and of course, no such thing is offered by the DICE official servers. So into the Customs I plunge. And there are only a handful of servers that combine old and new maps ... and they're empty. Or they're 200% bullet damage. I kept running across infos and hearing infos that you can't mix the old and new maps, that it's too much a pull on the server box. Then I rent a server for a week to find out if I can run a mixed rotation - YAH YOU CAN! - and I find out what I have to do with the settings to make it not a custom .... sad, very sad. So I think SCREW IT! - and put in the values that I want ... mixed maps - before Nivelle came out - and 125% bullet damage, FF on, KCam off .... yadda yadda - and 6 player to start. Well, my group doesn't number enough BF1 players - regular basis - to start that server. But when Nivelle came out, we found official servers running Nivelle by itself and mixed in with old maps rotation and new maps rotation. There's gotta be some one out there running all 15 maps. So 2 nights ago, I check my Favorites from my previous All Maps searches ... and there is The Armory - I check the rotation and yes!! 15 maps. Good Gawd a MIGHTY! The 4 of us get on and play 7 maps together with only 2 repeats, the last repeat we dropped off [Argonne] - so we play Soissons, Nivelle , Fort Devaux, Fao Fortress, Argonne, Nivelle, St. Quentin Scar, and then Argonne. Average time per map is 25 to 30 minutes, that's 2.5 hours plus we played, which is the longest we have played together on BF1 in a session. I hear you on the lack of proper full range of admin tools, I hate the way that DICE has been consolizing not only the game, but the admin tools - goodbye Procon. Map vote is nice - you gotta give some choice to the players, but while it's simple compared to the Procon plugins from past BF titles ... well, I wish for a bit more structure there. But hell, you got a full server 5 nights in a row, and I gotta believe you're getting a base. I'd hate to think that all of those other players are using PLAY NOW to get to your server, coz that surely won't get you the numbers you're seeing. Never underestimate the smarts of the public pc players KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
