FarCry 5 Title 6 Update Patch Notes
It looks like FarCry 5 is not headed in the right direction for its ongoing Title updates. Glaring issues remain with the end game content that make continuing to play a challenge. Specifically, the damage model in FarCry Arcade is still busted and now Ubisoft has abandoned map picking in public lobbies. That's right, custom maps are private lobby only now. Lots of protests in the forums about this one. The patch notes are linked below. Given the disinterest in this game, I'm going to be reducing and/or ending my coverage of this game. EA is giving up on Swbf2 already
Good. Every game that fails with this model will help put it in the grave. You also can't take forever to fix a mistake. That should have dropped the crates and rolled out the red carpet to save the player base.

Fortnite Getting Bigger
Oh, I agree. We have some pretty good players in the group, but no one that is at the pro level (that I am aware). I wasn't entirely serious about competing on the e-sports scene. It is just a venue to consider in the context of where players are concentrating and will continue to do so for awhile. Fortnite isn't my favorite game (I have both the paid and free versions), nor is Battle Royale a preferred mode of play. It is something I wanted to bring up in the context of the current PvP game environment. More specifically, should we consider a presence with this game? How do people feel about it? Does anyone currently play it?

Fortnite Getting Bigger
Caught an article today which stated Epic Games is coughing up $100 million for Fortnite e-sports prizes. This is, as the article stated, bigger than Blizzard's $3.5 million. Even more crazy is the estimate that Epic Games is making $1 million a day on this game. Article link below for details. FarCry 5 Title 5 Update Patch Notes
Not a whole lot of changes here. Mostly bug fixes and cosmetic adds (masks). They also tweaked a few things in PVP but the main issues still remain. WORLD WIDE NOTES Patch 01.05 1. New Addition Added the option to re-do the character creation process from the Avatar Customization menu Added support for Masks and Special Outfits in the Avatar Customization menu 2. Improved Accessibility Subtitles turned on by default for all languages when launching a New Game 3. Ok, I've seen it all now too. Pretty good. I too am hoping they get another season. Should be interesting to see where they go with the storyline. I hope they pick up a few more science advisors too...

At least there is some movement. Hello all, thanks a lot for all your feedback and suggestions. We might not always have the time to answer everything, but rest assured that we are reading carefully what you share about your Arcade experience. there are a couple of pionts I would like to address. first, we know that Arcade is not perfect, that thre are things to improve. It might look like a long time for you guys, but we are only 3 weeks after launch, and the first things the production works on after launch, is fixing the game breaking bugs. Ipmprovements come after, which I think we can all agree is quite logical. Second, we are as enthusiastic as you about making Arcade an amazing experience, and we are working since day 1 on bug fixes for Arcade (you can see on the known issues listthat we do fix issues on Arcade), and more improvements are coming with the next title update, including some improvements for the Private Lobbies that I am sure our Map Builders will be very happy about. And we are not planning on stopping here, we have more to come, but making improvements is a long process. More details to come very soon! and for those of you that watched Forge Labs video, I would like to clarify one point he's making: From day 1, the community complained that they were playing too many bad quality maps. We heard you. so with TU4, instead of having "all maps" displayed first in the PVP lobby to pick, we changed it to "featured maps". This way, it ensures that the first maps you see suggested are not half-done-green-grid maps. but you can always use the filters to select other maps, you don't have to play featured maps

I got through the first episode last night (thank god for Netflix in hotels now). It was pretty good. Waiting to see where it goes... and yes, I did see most of the original series. This is definitely taking an interesting twist on the story line.

Far Cry Arcade creates sub forum
Hey all, Ubisoft finally created a sub forum for Far Cry 5. It's not receiving a lot of attention yet, but the bitching has begun. Posts ranging from hacking complaints to horrible mechanics. It also looks like the pvp level reset might be related to going between campaign and arcade (good news is you get to keep the repeat rewards). Ready Or Not
I'm hoping this game develops well. The "mil sim" style shooters seem to be catching on lately with PC gamers and I'd like to see an objective-based version like this. Hope this signals a move away from pure run and gun games. I'm loving on the similar mechanics Escape From Tarkov brings, so I'm sure this will be good on that front too. I'd rather be figuring out how to save a hostage than surviving for some loot though.

New Weekly Challenge - Vector Reward
So, I earned the Vector. If you're still playing the campaign, this gun is worth it. Fires like a laser and with an extended clip, you can take out an outpost with little reloading.

New NVG mode limited to Season Pass
Looks like the new NVG mode may be limited to the season pass right now. UbiKeeba confirmed that the Splinter Cell cosmetics aren't available separate from the Season Pass right now. UbiKeeba also said she's passing on complaints from the community that the pass isn't separate from the cosmetics. Does anyone have any images of the new NVG mode who bought the pass? Please share.

Special Operations 1 Reveal
MAJOR CHANGES -Medic will no longer have mines, but will get flash bangs instead. -Mine bug which let medics revive through a mine was fixed ( ) -Tech will lose C4 for Proximity Mines (new type of mine that sticks to surfaces, blows up on proximity, and does less damage than a mine) -Echelon assault class with sonar goggles added (new type of vision mode) -Hollow Point Ammo perk for Marksman -- Adds 90 seconds of bleed damage to anyone hit by a bullet and renews the timer on every subsequent hit. Disables adrenaline and battle rage. -5 new maps for the Sabotage game mode. -Pointman DPS lowered by a little on both guns. -Splinter Cell PVE stuff added with new NVG goggle rewards (not sure about PVP crossover) -6 new classes announced for Year 2. -KO Gas trap fixed (many instances of it not working) -Stalker can no longer unaware mark everyone with the recon tower (!!! how did we not use this !!!)

How To Throw Grenades Tips & Tricks
I think I knew everything this guy said, but some interesting tips on how to "flick" for sure. Most of these techniques are super helpful in Scrapyard with roof top grenade fights. It's basically instant detonation throwing between the two red roofs.

Weekly Challenges
For anyone still playing Far Cry 5... The game has started introducing its weekly challenges or "live events." The current challenge has 2 days left on it and involves killing animals with fire WITHOUT using molotov cocktails or the flamethrower. I just wanted to a throw a few tips your way regarding the club challenges, in case you missed them. 1. Club challenges are accessed using the Ubisoft overlay (Shift+F2) in game or via the Ubisoft launcher. The game has two sets of challenges, "classic" that come with the game and "weekly challenges." Make sure to check the weekly challenges for both PVP and PVE content. 2. You have to COLLECT YOUR REWARDS MANUALLY for both community challenges and your personal ones. There is a tiny, barely visible set of text in the box for each challenge at the bottom right corner that says "collect" followed by your progress (e.g., 1/2, 2/2, 0/2). If you press this button, you can grab your extra ubisoft experience, silver bars, and skins. 3. The easiest way I've found to complete the current challenge is to load up on incendiary arrows and head on over to Davenport Farm (John's Region) to shoot some helpless cattle with your firey bow and arrow. Takes a couple of trips because you can only hold 8 of these arrows, but it goes pretty quickly. 20 dead cattle will net you the personal part of the weekly challenge. Remember, they have to die from the fire or you get no credit. Incendiary grenades and explosive rounds will kill them before the fire does its bit. 4. The community challenge is beyond complete, so you can just collect those rewards right away (1 million+ out of 50,000 required).
