  1. China has a new gaming review board that will have the say on what games get sold in China. 9 popular games were banned including Fortnite and PUBG. Maybe the hacking will slow down if the games are harder to get? China's new games censors take tough stance WWW.BBC.COM A panel of experts bans nine mobile games and sends another 11 back for changes.
  2. Did the extended reading on the new PvP Events. Some of these are going to not be fun. One mechanic called Last Stand involves marking all players and making them bleed sometime during the match.
  3. Major nerfs coming for the SR635. Damage went from 55 to 40. Toxic took a further hit with the clip size for the gun being reduced to 20. Assassin gets better than sprint permanently with a 15% speed boost. The tech may be back with the jammer now at 25 seconds. The Surgeon is also seeing major buffs with an additional Stim and lower reload time on the ability. They can also heal bleed. The Echelon got nerfed to the ground now that pinged opponents are now alerted to their detection. Smoke got a little help in that they can hide objectives. Same with the Enforcer doing more damage with less recoil. The two new classes look OP. Sensor grenades mark anyone in the radius with shams style shading. The new sniper has an ability that grants no bullet drop or sway.

  5. Wanting to know where the WW3 servers are? They finally posted the locations on the forums a few days ago. Might be why some of us are consistently getting a 60 ping... NA servers are in LA and DC. Interestingly, they have some in South America and Africa. https://forum.worldwar3.com/index.php?/topic/5803-world-war-3-server-locations/
  6. If this is true, interesting new map choices. The salt flats lithium mine will be fun. Lots of multi level cover similar to zinc mine. No idea on the new classes based on the icons.
  7. Looks almost like an Add-On to Farcry 5... still in Hope County. Comes out on Feb 17, so I wouldnt expect much more than new content to the same engine. Far Cry: New Dawn trailer confirms post-apocalyptic leaks | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The new Far Cry game is set in Hope County 17 years after the war.
  8. I wish they would release word on the next Ghost Recon instead.
  9. I agree mostly with you. Although, I think some games have weaponized the in- game ability to obtain loot boxes to encourage you to buy them. For example, when you start the campaign in Fortnite, you are showered with them. Eventually they taper off and progression stalls without buying them (never did, but the tactic was obvious). Other games do this with cosmetic only systems too. You can get them at a snail's pace by playing or you can get your real fix by paying (Siege, Recon). It's like giving a suspectible kid a trial set of drugs and then waiting for them to come back addicted, willing to pay. For me, I'm more okay with them if they are ONLY obtainable through normal game play. We should know what we are getting for real world cash.
  10. As of December, 11, 2018, you will be required to have two-factor authentication activated on your Ubisoft account to be able to play ranked on R6Siege. If you enable before this date, you are still eligible to get a free Thermite skin. If you wait until after this date, you will be locked out of ranked until you register. The free skin will no longer be available. I would expect more of this coming from Ubisoft on other titles as they gradually force people down this path.
  11. After the ESRB failed to take up requests from legislators to look at self regulation of loot boxes, the FTC has now agreed to investigate the situation. Loot boxes are projected to be a $50 Billion industry and primarily focused on youth. The FTC agrees to investigate loot boxes | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM While the ESA continues to defend them.
  12. Hotfix was dropped to fix an issue related to parties not being able to join a game. https://forum.worldwar3.com/index.php?/topic/5598-november-update-023-hotfix-patch-notes/
  13. Another small patch to improve matchmaking and fix some bugs was released. We are now at 0.2.2. https://forum.worldwar3.com/index.php?/topic/5537-november-update-022-patch-notes/
  14. Every year I see the crowds and every year I would rather pay extra than deal with them. Thank god some of the stores put the same prices online before Cyber Monday.
  15. Patched updated to 0.2.1. Quality of Life improvements including an option to limit game mode on quick join. Patch notes below with link to original source. A small patch just before the weekend, focused on quality of life improvements mainly, so it's more fun for more people. [FEATURES] Added an option to choose game mode in quick join, [bUGFIXES] Fixed bugs with connecting to different map than chosen, Fixed a bug with broken minimap, Collsion fixes on Warsaw Shopping Mall, Fixed looped helicopter sound. https://forum.worldwar3.com/index.php?/topic/5343-november-update-021-patch-notes/
  16. Don't mean to keep updating, but I forgot one important change that will make a lot of people happy. They have added a solid mechanic to give you better credit for assists now. I saw this a lot today, but hadn't really before. There is now an "Assist as Kill" award mechanic. I'm not sure how to trigger it, but you get full credit for the kill (in stats) and the points too, even if you didn't make the kill. I got this quite a few times when I naded someone who was quickly killed by someone else or two of us were blowing the guy away. I'm not sure if both people get credit for the kill or not, but you'll be happy to know significant assists will still get you the kill credit. This on top of the score mechanics for suppress assist, regular assist (do a lot of damage and they are later killed, even a lot later killed), grenade assist (e.g., concussion grenade blinding them first), and mark assist. Basically, if you're helping, you're going to be piles of battlepoints. If you're lurking, you are not going to get as highly rewarded. Also there are NO STRIKES in TDM. No drones, no tanks, no anything crazy. Just 10v10 with whatever you can carry.
  17. Tried it out. TDM is actually fun. Was getting 60 ping and solid frames. Still some bullshit hit detection, but not bad overall. VERY fast paced. EDIT: So I played 3 rounds this morning, two TDM and 1 regular. The TDM definitely plays A LOT better than the other modes in terms of frames and ping. I was running 60 FPS and no frame loss in TDM. Conquest is still a little off but holding a solid 80 ping with 32 players. The game FEELS BETTER. Headshots will wreck opponents quickly now. The game play was extremely level, but a lot of that has to do with nobody having access to the other weapons yet. The price on new guns is 5000-6000 for pistols and 12,000+ starting at SMGs. This DOES NOT include scopes or any other mods you may want to buy. In 3 rounds, I'm only at about 8000-9000 credits. There are new scopes too... a lot more is in this patch than was listed. For example, you can now safely spawn on the squad leader (often need to click the bottom star). You can now live switch your grenade and secondary accessory live between spawns (not just the ammo pack/med kit). My only advice after playing the new version is try not to treat this as COD. It's not as run and gun as it feels like it should be, especially in TDM. The best round I played was when everyone kept spawning on the squad lead and we were moving like a slow-moving freight train down hallways together. Oh and TDM is first to win 3 rounds, first to 50 kills each round. So staying alive is super important, more so than conquest. Use those med kits and first aid kits. You're going to need them. The only map for TDM is Warsaw mall. They've really tuned it up. The lighting changes in this mode providing more dark corridors and interesting lighting to hide in. Each round shifts it a bit from light to dark, etc.
  18. Patch 0.2 rolled out last night. Be prepared to have your settings erased and re-setup. We are going WEST (which finally actually works). The progression system is now in play. You will no longer have access to all weapons at the start. Your custom kits are wiped too.

We can expect 9 maps and 5 game modes in this process. Visuals will get a face lift this winter. 0.2 should be out very soon (says live now) and 0.3 drops with a new map in December. 21. Patch 0.2 is coming for WW3 introducing a new map and game mode (TDM). Several items are being reworked including nerfs for the TOR and VEPR (finally!). Sniper rifles in general are taking a hit because a bug was causing them to operate like hit-scan weapons. Patch notes are below. You can follow the link below for instructions on how to join the PTE. Remember, PTE servers are in Europe ONLY. Significant lag and connectivity issues are to be expected. According to previous announcements, we can expected 0.2 before the end of this month. https://forum.worldwar3.com/index.php?/topic/4936-pte-november-update-02-patch-notes/ Patch Notes [KNOWN ISSUES] Guided Missiles (RCWS Anti Tank and APFSDS GLM shells) temporarily have their guiding abilities disabled and work similar to RPG launcher; this issue will be resolved in the next patch, Some players might not have statistics panel available and not get rewards for playing - we're working on that, [NEW CONTENT] New gamemode: Team Deathmatch, New map: Warsaw Shopping Mall (TDM only), New weapon: MSBS Bullpup, New vehicle: IFV Boxer, New uniform, New vehicle armor: RPG nets for IFV Boxer, New vehicle armor: RPG nets for IFV Bumerang, New spawn system (TDM only for now!), [FEATURES] In-game grenade selector (just like gadget), Backend: Progression system (first pass), Thermal scopes (first pass), Backend: Item unlocking, Backend: Server authentication, First tests of the changing day/night system (TDM map only), [GAMEPLAY] Added Thermal scopes: Medium-magnification scopes (Thor SM, MM) and high-magnification (Odin LM), Added a new assault rifle: MSBS-B. It’s chambered in .300 Blackout giving it better damage than other Western rifles but at the cost of much bigger bullet drop, high damage dropoff and strong kick, Vepr nerfed again with increased recoil, Tor damage reduced, making it only slightly more powerful than the G29. However, due to .50 cal’s AP performance it should deal more damage when hitting the enemy directly into the chest plate, Sniper rifles had their bullet velocities lowered (turns out they were bugged and behaved like hitscan weapons), they should be comparable to ARs now, RPGs nerfed: Reduced blast radious on basic warheads, reduced damage and damage falloff on Frag warheads (this should make them used primarily for weakening and injuring enemies over a larger area and not for killing them with a cheap shot), Adjusted the Frag RPG warhead to make it more easily recognizable (it’s brighter, more gray/brown-ish in colour), New prototype weapon muzzle flashes. They should have slightly better performance and look better, please give us feedback wether or not do they hinder your visibility while shooting. If anything will be off we will be tweaking them, New particle effects for Support Strikes: Artillery, Airstrikes, Carpet Bombings, now it's easier to differentiate which one is being used, Fixed splash damage for >25mm caliber rounds, now splash damage decreases properly with the radius of the explosion ( the further from the center of explosion the lesser the damage), You can no longer vault while reloading, Tweaked spawn locations on all maps, Added optimized light to all TPP muzzle flashes, And more, [bUGFIXES] Fixed item names and descriptions on popups, Radar Equipment for UGV works as intended, Mini UGV does not receive decals from the environment, Lance RC turret smoke grenades' shoot properly, T90 turret hatch attaches properly, Proper destruction meshes for Falcon turret optics, Lower attachments count on certain vehicle armors (Anders, Marder, and T72). It should result in a slight performance boost, Fixeds in left hand position on certain handguards, Marking should be fixed now, Fixed broken materials on some emblems, Fixed ammo display in customization, Weapon calibers should now display properly, Fixed animations for Glauberyt SMG, Various chat fixes, And more, [OPTIMIZATION] Reworked muzzle particles to reduce FPS drops when firing, New impact particles, Lowered attachment count on certain vehicle armors, Level streaming improvements, Collision optimizations, Continous optimization effort on all fronts, [TWEAKS] Changed "Performance Boost" to "CPU Performance Boost" to better reflect what it's for, Tweaked RPG explosion, Flash hiders are now functional, Added chat window to summary screens, Adjusted blast radii for >25mm rounds to the fixed splash damage values, AntiTank mines damage reduced to 600, now 2 mines are required to destroy a vehicle, Improved UGV durability against RPG projectiles: 1 Tandem or 2 Single Stage are enough to destroy a UGV, Reduced smoke grenades uses from 5 to 2, Reworked armor pricing and masses, Changed P: to L: since we're showing latency to the server, not straight ping, Tweaks to thermal vision postprocess, Menu thumbnails updated, Various animation tweaks (idles, reloads), Matchmaking improvements, Many more minor tweaks and improvements.
  22. The game has subsequently been patched twice to fix stability and bug issues. The current version is 0.1.3. We found that at least one person wasn't getting regular Steam updates for the game. If you can't load into matches, make sure to verify your game files. This should trigger any patch downloads.
  23. The verdict from playtesting the game last night is that it is massively more playable than before. We still hit one bad server, but much more in the realm of 60-80 ping with closer to 60 fps. Hit reg felt a lot more solid and the weapon tweaks were paying off. People were actually dying when you shot them (armor was drastically reduced). It felt like the game that should have dropped at launch. Still rough around the edges. Few bugs we ran across include not being able to see the flags or spawn in. The workaround on the spawn in bug is to hit escape and click respawns. The inability to see flags was sporadic and couldn't be fixed without loading into a new match. With another content patch due this month, I think this game is solidly on track.
  24. It begins... Juul just pulled its social media presence and has stopped the sale of flavored pods to stores. They also instituted age verification involving part of your SSN to order them online. Some of their competitors are following the same path. 25. World War 3 has announced that the new patch went live today. Should rebalance the game and fix some connectivity issues. Download, play, and report back!
