I believe the only thing that really matters is when you'll be near Death, will you think "I didn't live ?". Life is just made to be lived the way we want. Just try to avoid doing something wrong to someone, and then... take what Life offers to you, and don't ask yourself too much. Give to your friends and family your love / friendship. But after, do what you please, to have the less possible regrets when you'll die. You'll have regrets, we all have some, but the thing is to go further above the regrets to continue on Life. I've just read few other things on this LEN, it seems to be not so terrible after all. Few changes have been made. But this law still cannot be very usefull and still reduces some liberty...Well I fear this is a political post... sorry if is one.

WTH :!: :!:To transalte to everyone, now in France, this Numerical Economy Law (LEN) says :- the Internet providers have to enforce control on the websites they provide to users, specially against racism, humanity crimes, pedophilia etc.- it's illegal for someone to have a virus or a tool than can attack a computer on his computer (goobye Telnet ?)- the description of a virus' code / exploit... forbidden.- an internet user now can take to court a person / a group if his / it has said something the user finds it defamatory for him. No time limit for this. Example : if someone tells in 2004 than I'm a "stupid lamer", I can take this guy to court in 2040...- the e-shops got now responsability upon every moment of the sells. In fact, from the moment you order the buy to the moment you receive the product. If a bank or any other extern group takes part in the sell and if there is a problem, the e-shops is responsible.That's for the main points. I just said what I said : this game is to have fun for everyone, not only few people. When there are only 8 players on a map camping and 18 others KIA... it's annoying for them, even if they are patient, and they are the many. And even when I stand still in the last 8 players, I try to end as soon as possible the map. I see no fun in camping just to try to win when all is lost. Better is to switch to another map, for everyone plays as soon as possible on a server they like. I know some as fun in the last stand, but when the last stand is just "mortars / sniping / camping"... well, I have no fun in... that's all. Each player plays this game his / her way, but sometimes we could do a little effort to play like the many wants to. It's why I'm patient waiting for the map to end. But I dislike it.This post was to agree or disagree on a rule to stop people doing the last stand. It's a good idea, but not the best. Adding maps specially maked for "alamo" is also a good idea I think. The combinaison of the two is a better idea. But still not the best. You're the admins / SC, it's your job to find ideas and make them real, or not. We, players, are just here to tell our ideas, complaints and suggestions. We do it, that's all. (I don't mean to offense, sorry if someone has been offensed by reading what I wrote. I just tell what I think.)

I disagree with all that agree to say this campign is fun. Camping to make this "alamo" is not fun. When you're KIA you wait for the other map... and sometimes you wait 15 minutes... It's not funny to see people using mortars / grenades / m79 only just to have an "alamo".It's the same on Iwojima, Desertcrisis and so on. The losing team is always camping in base, sniping or using grenades / mortars. This makes neverending maps. Boring. You're just here and wait that a lucky nade will kill them (Iwojima) or to success in exploiting to get into spawn (Iwojima and Force) or just a good rush (Desercrisis). Really boring. No tactic. Just a kamikaze attack. Where is the fun ? killing the most enemies as you can before being killed ? this is not a war, it's a game ! everyone wants to have fun ! So please stop doing things that annoy players... you can make and create maps to have a real "alamo". Objectives to defend the fort for one team while the other as to enter it. Simply as that. But don't play "alamo" at map's ending when everyone KIA wants to play on the other map. No matters which team wins the map, we are not in a FAL match, we are trying to have fun. For everyone. Not for only 8 players on the map... think to the other players sometimes.It's a game. Who wins doesn't matter. The point is that everyone has fun.

I've just read all the posts... and exploit is a really important case in Firearms. When you're playing on a map and get killed by enemies on a place where they normally can't go it's very annoying - and it kills the fun you have playing this game. Example : people on the top of a building (they used teamamtes to jump on their head to go up), people in sky, people proning behind elements and using the scope just at the good line to see while being invisble (it can be done on ps_coldwar and ps_desertcrisis, juste behind dunes).FA is a game, people play it for fun. I play if for fun. But some people play it to have the best frags / deaths ratio possible... and to do that some of them them exploit or use cheats. Cheats are not allowed, and it's a good thing. But exploits are allowed. You'll tell me "what is an exploit ? what can be considered as an exploit ?"Exploit is using a bug of the map, giving an advantage. I don't care of people using a "terrible weapon combo" as FAMAS + full heavy Armor. Heavy armor ? don't care. Aime the head. FAMAS ? don't care. If he doesn't kill with the first clip, he is dead. But when I see someone using a mapbug... even if he doesn't kill me... it's lame. The game wasn't create for that. The game was create for people to have fun. It is fun to see people destroying the game by exploiting ? no. As it wasn't fun to see people destroying the game by cheating.Many things in the game are lame but it's part of game and I accept them (as claymore in manual, camping with a machinegun or the barret - these weapons are made for staying at a spot and defend / snipe). But the bugs aren't made to be used. Bugs aren't supposed to be.And saying "it's in the game so you can use it" is a little easy... the FAL has a definition on exploiting no ? So why don't you use it ? if everybody uses the same definiton of exploiting on FAL why not on normal servers ? we also can open a post here that will present few exploiting definition and let people vote for the one who will be used here...These are just some ideas, you decide. Oh I forget... always move beeing the most possible covered by maps element. If you have to move uncovered, don't hesitate to sprint ! and for reloading : reload when your clip is at 66-75% used. Example with the g3a3, which has 20 bullets in magazine, when only 5 bullets remain, reload. For guns with 30 ammo in magazine, reload when only 10 or less remain. And merge them :!: it helps

I use a key-config where all the keys are close together on the key board, to avoid moving my hand to the other side of it and losing time. When firing long range, I always switch in single fire mode and crounch or prone, while I keep full auto for close. My sensitivity is 11, to react and aim fast. After you have to train yourself to aim directly at head, and shot few bullets each time at medium / long. In close you can you a little longer, but not too much or your clip will be empty. And don't take guns with a high rate of fire to start with... it's always disapointing when your clip is empty "clic clic clic oh oh where have my bullets gone :?: "then you heard BOOM SPLACTH and you think "anywhere but NOT in the enemy in front of me... oups..." but it's too late your body says "GARGLLLE"... try first with ak47 or g3a3, and then try with g36 or ak74 or famas. Oh and try to keep your self-control. Don't react quickly with fear feelings. Nothng is worst than beeing surprised and fire everywhere save in the enemy. Take your time to aim correctly and little by little try to aim more and more quickly. Beeing good in FA doesn't come fast... for all this years I've been playing it I'm still not good :twisted: LOLBut the most important thing is to play for fun, with the combo you like.

Yes you're right Ripper.I just think there wasn't many players these last weeks because of few things that aren't coming from FA or Steam... school and exams perhaps :?: Most of FA players are students, and in France by example, January, May and June are the months when we got exams --> so we got few leisure time. And think about all the players whoc an only play the week-end because of their work / school. I belive FA isn't dying. When I come online I see many players on some servers. It is true I didn't play much these last month because of my studies, but when I play it's the afternoon or evening in France and I can easily find some servers with 6-7 players. In the nights (France time again) most of the servers I play on got many players. Try to play at different hours. Or try to schedule your plays : send mails to some friends telling "come on this week-end form 2pm to 7pm FA on XXX server" where XXX is the name of the server.OK mother's just called me to lunch so...

Yes, a real story they got. But the thing is, in Starcraft, when you've got a group of careers or battlecruisers, you've won (I remember a Protoss attaching me with 20 careers... and I got only 4 Ghosts ). That's why I don't like computer's games as other wargames. In a wargames with models, you can't have too much strong units. You're limited in percentage. In Starcraft / Warcraft you are limited too but when you got 12 battlecruisers and few Ghosts this is insane. You'll tell me that you have to crush your opponent before he gets this and I'ld say you're right. But you need to develop yourself faster than your opponent. Not always easy, isn't it ? It's why I prefer wargames with models. No base. Only units. Only the battle - and real strategy. The dies are just here to bring fun - and hasard - into the game. How many time did I see a strong unit defeated by a weak one because the dies :?: Thing that can't happened in Starcraft / Warcraft. Anyway they're good and funny games.For Warcraft 3 you're limited enough with units to avoid big wars that end only when no more ressources are avaible (or never ending battles like some I played in Total A). For that it was one of the best computer's wargames I've ever played.But to go back to Doom 3, well all is said. Just a new Doom. Well this won't change anything... the matter is that game creators have no imagination :!: do you know the sotry of the first Doom :?: it was a groups of bases on the Moon or Mars, and the Army got no news from them for a while. You were send there by the Army to investigate and you understood that the Demons had invaded those to create a diversion to enter Earth...when you came back to Earth after destroying all Demons on Hell (ending by the Sipdedemon with its machinegun), you saw that Earth was too invaded... that was Doom 2 :!: with new monsters and a the "twicecannon shotgun" (don't know if it's name in english... in french it's fusil de chase à deux canons) -----> all doom-likes got nearly the same story. No imagination. It's like for the war games like Starcraft, Warcraft... the first one was Dune 2. And it's always the same thing : 2 or 3 armies in conflict... and always the planes are the strongest units (save for Total Annihilation).SO GO STUDYING / WORKING INSTEAD OF PLAYING THESE GAMES :twisted: :!: :!: :!:or go play RPG and wargames like Demonworld / HeroQuest / SpaceHulk / Warhammer :lol:you don't need a good computer to play those games, just some good friends. Well it's always the same thing : a scientist base where there was something wrong, everyone died or turned into monsters, and you're alone to kill them all... graphics are cool sure. But no originality in the game. The first Doom and before it the first Castle Wolfenstein created the game. All others are just copy of htem, with better graphics, new guns, new monsters... but the same story. The only thing I love in the trailer of Doom 3 is the shotgun :twisted: But where has gone the machingun with its 6 canons :?: You'll tell me if the CyberDemon is still here. It was my favourite monster to kill in Doom. I remember I killed one with the shotgun only (nearly all 100 shells for it...).I would like to play a doom-like game where you got a team (in monoplayer) with you to destroy all this undeads / monsters / demons. It could be funny - and different.

Rassure-toi je ne t'ai pas attendu pour ça :!: :lol:Mais un fusil d'assaut ayant une portée légèrement supérieure (et une meilleure précision) qu'un pompe, faut être à coure portée. Et si tu rates ton premier tir, l'ennemi te rateras pas, même s'il tire dans le ventre. Avec le recul et la cadence de tir, il te plombe bien souvent avant que tu aies le temps de tirer une deuxième ou troisième fois. Je me plains pas, je constate. Mais je l'ai choisi et toute façon z'êtes pas capable de me buter avec un pompe nyark nyark :twisted: je vous fais tellement peur que vous êtes obligés de sortir les grenades ou un fusil d'assaut voir de vous s'y mettre à 4 pour m'avoir héhéhéhéhé :twisted:
