Different damn lifetime ago that's for sure.

I was feeling a bit nostalgic for the glory days of Firearms and lo and behold, ya'll are still around and my login still works.
  3. Ah, memories. It's been a while since I played anything online.
  4. Yeah that's pretty much why I played here. Less idiots on the server = more fun.
  5. I set up a server for release day festivities but I'm not much suited to be an admin since the last time I ran one was over 10 years ago. Plus now I'm older and work takes up far too much time. I always loved playing on the TAC servers because of the community, and if you guys were interested in getting back into Firearms I'd be happy to offer my server. It's basically spare hardware in the datacenter that I operate.
  6. It was very exciting to play FA again! It's very much still my favorite multiplayer FPS.
  7. I'm hoping for the glory days to return with the new release. =)
  8. I still play, tho it's rare to have a full server. Last week (week before?) we had a good full game until the server crashed and everyone quit.
  9. It'll be on firearms-source.com
  10. Any Source engine game. If you don't have any, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch on Steam is $5.00 and also download Source SDK Base 2007.
  11. No leg break in 1.0, sadly. But I shall be there. FA is still one of my all time favorite games, and Armory was one of my preferred servers back then. I hope to see some familiar names!
  12. TAC was the only place I'd played for the last few years... definately going to miss it. Things like the creation of the KFC, that idiot singing on the headset making me laugh too much to aim, the joy I felt blowing up Klink with a clay or well placed round from the 203... ah, all good things must come to an end, I suppose.
  13. No... I can't believe I missed out on the last days of FA... damn you school, damn you to hell! There may be some other servers, but it just won't be the same.
  14. I've been doing it for a while - Computer Science as well - but I'm graduating this December. I find a well placed manual clay somewhere Klink will find it a welcome diversion to homework.
  15. I've been playing here for many years on and off... TAC has been the only FA server I've played on in probably the last two years or so. I don't see as many familiar names as I used to, but I'll keep playing FA here until the powers that be decide to turn it off. It's still my favorite game; BF, while tolerable because it has drivable vehicles to entertain me, never grabbed my attention like FA has.
  16. At least a couple hours... Steam is down. The auth servers were up for a bit, but not actually authorizing anything. Oh well, so much for my night of FA.
  17. I was there... red team, Marks 1, heavy with an M249 and some grenades. Very good game.Unfortunately I was an easy target for their snipers - being that I couldn't shoot back at them easily - but once in position, it was easy to provide supporting fire or hold ground while we regrouped. A grenade or two into the tunnels helped, if not to encourage the other team to move out of a hiding spot.Ultimately I was killed rushing at their base once we were out of reins. They all had something with a scope, and I didn't. But I went down firing at something, and I didn't feel bad because we did a fine job. Good teamwork went a long way to one of the best games I've played in the few weeks I've been playing FA after an 8 month break.
