Here is part of the difference between good gamers and great gamers. I have a 2.4 cpu and 256 meg card on a 4X AGP while the next guy has the newest and hottest tweaked thing and he beats me one on one because his machine performs better and also more skill part of the time. That is the only thing that burns me.
