Assault Weapon Ban Ending!
Thank you StateCop. You probably have the most experience, here, in the area of guns and gun crimes. As you said, the bans do nothing but keep guns out of the hands of good people. I don't understand how making more laws can stop criminal activity of this type. The fact is that it can not. Crimes are commited by people who break the law. Why wouldnt they break a new one?I hope you don't hate all liberals StateCop, because I like what you have to say. I do like Moore though I don't agree with everything he has to say(not even close), but he has passion. If only more people would share their thoughts with such passion instead of following the lead of whomever is most visable. Moore would be one message among many. With so many loud annoying opinions flying around nobody would know which one to agree with, and might develope their own.

Assault Weapon Ban Ending!
Amendment II A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Ususally people don't think of milita being relevant to these days, and it's been cited as a reason the second amendment is not relevant any longer. Militia can be defined in the context of the consittution as, "The entire body of physically fit civilians eligible by law for military service." Militia by this definition obviously covers a large portion of the adult population. Often people would join a local militia to receive some form of basic training, but that is not implicit. In time of crisis, those who were not part of the army or militia would often join a militia group, and thus the right to bear arms was important, because a militia often does not have funding to supply weapons to all who would join. The right to bear arms was enured to the people that we might have the ability to ensure for ourselves a free and secure state. How can you have a free state if the people are not able to defend it? The United States, being in the position we are in, it is not likely we will face a full scale invading force any time soon. Who are those we must defend against? Those who would jeopardize our security and freedoms. Criminals who would threaten our person and property and government who would attempt to strip us of our rights, in the name of security(that security we the people are tasked with keeping). I would not reccomend fighting the government with the gun just yet, but we did it once in our history at least, which is the reason we have a constitution laid out as we do, which limits the governments power over the people. Rather, write letters and vote Run for office and speak out. Fewer guns in the hands of the people may save the lives of a few unfortunate people caught in gun accidents, but it will lead to more gun crime. Restrictive gun laws only say, "The people can not be trusted." This is a very dangerous thing to say in a land in which the government claims to be of the people, by the people, for the people. If the people can not be trusted with guns, how can you trust them with the power to legislate, a far more dangerous tool. "The three boxes of freedom: the ballot box, the soap box and the ammo box"

Another new comp thread
Iagree I would suggest anyone upgrading now for the long term to go for a sockte 754 board. If you're strapped for cash you can get the sempron(new duron based on Athlon 64 with 64 bit disabled) with room to move up the ladder with a Athlon 64. 754 is the long term retail plan for AMD, with 939 being mostly workstations and anyone who has cash to burn to get the top of the line. Socket A will be phasing out over the next year, as AMD expect K8 revenues to exceed K7 by the end of the year.

i love comcast
They don't tell you, but somewhere between 60 and 80 gigs is the cut off... It's not really to hamper users but to discourage server activity. I have done 20 gigs a month for up to 4 months and never heard a word.

Windows SP2 and AMD64 cpu's
Could be that DELL and HP used VLKs that got blacklisted.. I heard that SP2 will write over the boot sector of any computer with a blacklisted key(which includes many from large retailers). You have to call the retailer to get a proper key I think...

What is your favorite role in PoE?
I've been using that one as well. It's kind of hard to get used to and I find I sometimes get caught out because the RoF is so strange, but in the long run I end up doing pretty well. I hope it's at least smoothed out a bit in the next update.

Electronic Jihad or a Myth?
I for one plan to OD on Kool-Aid and spend the day in a blissful red(cherry) paradise.

PoE mapping tools
My last post got me thinking, so I found out how to make an environment variable like %windir% Under XP it's easy enough. System Propterties > Advanced > Enviroment Variables.. Now I can type %bfv% in run and get my BFV dir same for HL and any other often used folders..

Mine is in a nonstandard directory. Lets just call it %BFVDIR%

Favorite Anime/Manga
The manga progresses differently. While the anime is focused on Ai, the manga is focused on Hachimaki. Going further, but it covers a lot of terrain very quickly. Both are Grade A, and of course listed above in my previous reply. If you want to know what happened afterwards try the manga .

OMG!!! P.o.E is teh ownage!
Yeah, thanks I do like the vehicles, though i'm too lazy to fix my joystick so I can fly. I find I only use the tanks to cap picking off people with the turret mounted MG. The jeeps are fast for moving between points, but more often than not i'm on foot with my sniper rifle or MG. It does upset me a bit that planes and choppers do not allow you to pick off pilots from the cockpit. I've had that problem since BF 1942 though. A product of the BF:V engine it seems we also can not have sectional damage, but I guess i'm looking for a different game. As far as the mod goes, It's pretty good. It betters BF:V like DC bettered BF 1942. I'll be playing it for a while along with FA and JO(that is once I get off my arse and buy a copy).

is useing the grenade launcher cheap?
My aim is quite good with the m79, after a while you can get a feel for the trajectory and timing and hit running targets at long range. Spam is bombarding an area hoping for a hit based on numbers(just as mail SPAM). While that is useful in some cases, a good number of my kills with the m79 are just as aimed as a sniper kill. Of course, they still complain about spam after being picked off in this way.

I like to snipe when I'm not trying to put down some artilary, and wishing someone would sight me.
