doing one last compile now, found some things that needed fixin. and the model is from geequed over at the fa forums (which are down still) ----------- ok, compile is done. there's a minor texture error but i doubt anyone will care about it. it'll be fixed in the final version. DOWNLOAD

ok, quick update.i've reworked the red spawn area. the side entrance is completely gone. i added another cargo door and moved both over 20 units or so. The wooden crates are gone. I put a few more metal crates in to block the entrances. The red spawn points have all been moved to the back of the area.the killing machine is also gone. I figured out what was causing it. Only had 1 trigger_reinforcements in there for both teams. adding another one would have fixed the problem but without sufficient time to test, it was just easier to take it out.i'm doing a compile to see how things turned out, should have some more pics for u soon enougn.

SDK Question
Ok, i know the sdk is out, well part of it anyways. Its to bad that they didn't release them seperate from steam. I really wanted to start laying out some designs.now my question. Does anyone know if it will be available to those who buy it from the store?

Don't know. Gonna need to play the map for longer than a few minutes to test the balancing. blue has a few routes to take but most are indirect.oh and to the person who was asking where the blue objectives were, they're on flatbed cars on the train closest the entrances.I know the blue area is rather open, compared to the red area. depending on how the testing goes, the red side might have to stretched out so i can move the spawn points back. just have to see how it goes.

thats always a good thing i'll change the multipler, recompile then upload the bsp for u. ok, the reins multiplier is now set at 7. for 1 person (thats me), it gave 224 / team. http://www.the-fentons.com/zanesmaps/download/sd_nortex_reload_patch.zip nothing else changed, so just pop this into your maps folder and you should be good to go. if any other problems arise, just let me know. i'm going to each my pizza now. enjoy

I prefer the inline method. once the map is complete, i'll upload some images to the gallery for u to drool over anways, sorry for the delay, but my internet went out right as i was uploading the new pics. Thanks, i appreciate it. A new version is coming soon enough. here's a quick preview of what i've changed. Its uncompiled at the moment. be assured that it has been lighted up though. http://www.the-fentons.com/zanesmaps/nortex/screenshots/change1.jpg http://www.the-fentons.com/zanesmaps/nortex/screenshots/change2.jpg these are just the major changes. other more suttle changes have been made also. some of the change log: Unused brushes have been modified or deleted done some texture tweaking lightened the overall ambience color a lot some of the objectives have been moved around hopefully the 0 reins system has been fixed - needs testing more bandages have been added randomly moved a route inside the blue wherehouse. thats all i can think of now. should have a playabe version sometime tomorrow.

I bet that was the 0 reins kill system. I'd like to see what've u got though, just to be sure that's what it is. that's something that never got fully tested. i'll decompress the map tonight and take a look at it.thanks mentioning that though.

scottish, i'm not complaining, believe me, i appreciate your dilegence on getting this onto a server. Just didn't expect it to be on this one :PTo those who played it, go ahead an post your feed bak, i'm going to re-open this map and put a new one out.I'm noy to worried about the logs, would've been nice to see what was said about the map, but as i said, i'm not that worried about it. :PSo how was it with a full house? cramped? camping problems? any serious choke points? i'm looking to make this into a great map so any and all (positive and negative alike) feedback would be greatly appreciated :)and again, thanks for playing the map.

As i understand it, this was played last night sometime. I have no problem, but in the future, could u let people know when ur going to add their map? Is it in the rotation or was it a one-time-only deal ?also, since i'm getting only minimal feedback, could i a copy of the logs from that session?oh, and thanks for playing it. i'm gonna have to watch the server so i can play :Panyone got any feedback?
