I have heard people complaining lately about helm camming but I have yet to understand what the problem is. It was defined to me as one person being able to see another, whereas the second person could not see the first (like the camera was on the first player's helmet); the complaint comes as a result of a kill by the first player of the second, most often with sniping or some other stealth situation (or quick kill). It is given as some sort of insinuation that the first player was doing something wrong or cheating somehow. The player is even asked to stop doing this sometimes by an admin or other player; my question is: If the player has no control over this occurance, what's the beef?

Well if i am not mistaken it is something old, it was there in 2.5 i think, but nobody complained about it, and it is possible to kill him, if you are able to shoot the very small part of his helmet that is visible...Never had any problems with it, but that is what i think.greetz Decepticon

lets take bocage, when you are on red and down by the field gun and you prone by the steps.there is a place where have a little space where you can see to the top of the ramp. From where you are they can't see you. place like these should be easy to tell that its caming, most caming is done in places like this.I don't care if people cam because you can spam them. but I have seen it there are places where there isn't a way to shoot them.

Ok, so this is frustrating bc I just got banned from Elite Force's server because of a witch hunt, which I was named the Warlock of Helm Camming; it's early in the game (Durandal) and I was on Red; I proned next to the broken down wall next to the bridge and popped them as they came into view. After four kills, they banned me because they believed it to be hc :x

To deception: if u where by that broken down bridge and prone sniping u where helmcaming helm caming is using map models to "invisible" (for no better description) and u can still see and shoot. Basically if u go prone behind any obstacle if it be sandbag or wall and u can still kill someone u are helmcaming. helmcamin can get u banned in about every server as u apparently witnessed. a word of advice some of the best players/snipers never go prone. work on ur skills some more and try crouching.To enormus: i hope u never play in a cal match where demos are recording with that type of attitude u will get urself banned from cal and possibly ur clan. TA is a good clan but before they go into cal perhaps they should circulate the cal rules to every member so they know that they can be removed from cal for those things. BTW u are expected to act in a server as u would in a match.
