Has anyone bought this game? Is it any good? I checked it out and it looks great. I just wanted some feedback on it before I buy. Any insight would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, :klinked:

Everyone seems to like it, I'm not sold on it yet but I'm sure that will change when I get better. My computer has been on the fritz lately so I haven't been able to game all that much, I decided to format last night so hopefully that fixed my problems, if not I'm going back to XP.

I like playing it! Griiim, Shadowwolf and I are probably the only regular players from TAC so far. Ricecake and outlaw play occasionally. Haven't seen anibis on yet but probably due to technical difficulties:o.

It's a nice change of pace from BF2142. It's much more team-oriented and encourages ppl to play the different classes. You can't just all run around as medics since only a certain class can complete each objective.

One downside is lack of voip so it's definitely much more fun when there's someone on vent to play with.

Let us know if you're on and we'll walk you through some of it - I was clueless when I first started.

its got a steep learning curve.

there are objectives to follow, maps to read, classes to learn about.

but once u figure it all out, i think its quite a fun experience. especially when u have a close game

was curious about this myself I've been watching development since 2003 and tried the demo Sunday. I was lost to say the least. It looked fun and If everything is in the game that was discussed early on it had major potential. One tester mentioned sending an atv down a hill with explosives into an enemy camp and it blew up but not sure if detonated it or was hit. Objectives sound good. The game was originally supposed to place you in battle and give you a mission that would help your side and get you to learn the character you chose. Is it doing this in the non beta? Seemed fun though even though I was getting killed quickly in the single player mission.

Great!!!!!! Thanks for the info. I will probably get the game...............but sfter COD 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Appreciate the insight, Guys! :D

Game is alright, more of a warez download imo to lan with friends, but whatever.

I'd like it more if they debugged the game more at start. I'm getting really irritated with the bug that just totally cuts out my sounds. *sigh*

That's what you get for downloading from warez sites. No sound problems on my end.

I didn't download it from a warez site.

I had this problem during the demo, figured it was just a bug, bought the retail version, bug still exist.

It's an issue for a lot of people.

odd...about 6-8 of us play it. 3 of us play regularly. no problems so far...in fact. it's been one of the most stable releases i've had in quite a while.
I've played Quake before how does this game stack up against all the other Quake games is this game actually worth getting

This is definetly no Quake 4 (which imo, totally owned).

But over-all, it's fun if you have some spare bucks. As you can tell, i'm not fully satisifed with my purchase, but i'm getting there.

Lanning with a friend and playing for ooooh..5-6 hours non-stop was awesome when we got the lannage going. :p

come play with us.

gamb, shadowwolf and I (griiimmeh) are on quite often.

sometimes, outlaw, ricecake and anibis pop by.

For starters, rocket jumping will get you nowhere in one piece (or everywhere in several pieces) and bunny hopping isn't effective in dodging enemy fire compared to the last Quake games but it still can get you from point A to point B quick. Just be careful, you'll start breathing heavily and anyone near you can hear you. I like how you have to complete objectives in an order within a time limit to achieve victory. It's a pretty good game.
hmm as far as quake goes its not a quake game per say, i mean it plays like one (kind of) but its not like the TDM or CTF of Q3 for example. At the higher levels those games are a tightly controlled pure competition of timing and control of spawns. This is like a melding of quake ideas and gameplay physics with a BF style objective based multiplayer.
