Street Fighter II: Turbo

Featured Replies

Anyone here play this game or used to play? I just bought this game off of Xbox Live for the 360, and man is it awesome. There are lots of people who are still playing, and best of all, it is online now! So if I feel like challenging someone, I just have to enter the online ranked gaming and there is always a challenger.

Sometimes there is lag, but capcom figured out an easy way to fix that where it completely removes client side for both parties, which I think is ingenious. All they do is just slow down the entire game. So for instance, if two people are playing on a lan, the game will run at the default turbo speed, but if I am playing somebody across the country or even across the world, the game itself just slows down. What this means is that if a roundhouse kick is executed, it happens as soon as the button is pressed, however it happens slower. Everything just happens slower with lag which is ok in my opinion. At least the game isn't trying to play fast with lag. For instance, most games with lag, if a button is pressed, the action just happens later.

...SNES is where it's at. I wouldn't play it online even if I had it for the 360. I'm old school.

Its the same thing Biscuit. I am old school too man. Old school is playing as Zangief right? I think I play a good Zangief ,,!,, (>_<) ,,!,, I used to play at the arcade when the machine had quarters all the way across the screen and people used to stand in line to play.

If you ever get a chance to play it on Xbox Live, try it out, you won't be disappointed.

That'll be awesome. What is your gamertag? I'll add you. Mine is imurd3r3r.

My game rating kinda sucks right now. I am just a little under 1 K:D ratio. I think a 1400 score is a 1.00 K:D, and I am about 1380. It is kinda hard playing it on the xbox 360 control, I am going to shop around though for a better control just for playing this game :D

ZANGIEFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. RAWRTAARARARARrrrrrrr. I freakin' love that guy.

I was best (skill-wise) as Ryu/Ken (SHOOOOOOOORYUKEN!) and sometimes Guile. I could whip out this mad sonic boom combo that would knock my opponent senseless. I loved playing as Vega or Chun Li on occasion, though. They were always fun for a change.

(Infinite kicks, anyone?)

Hahahaha U.S.S.R I still say that occasionaly. If it weren't for Street Fighter and Mario I probably wouldn't even play Video Games. I played Street Fighter when I was very young like 2 years old, but there are people who still play in big tournaments but with the newer versions. I've even been in some of the tournaments but not in a while though since I got my Computer.
